    I think I need rehab for MJ.

    I'd rather spend 100 I don't have on middies than do my school work for FIVE MINUTES

    this has been going on for years
    pretty much since my first blunt at 11 and i'm 18 now

    i'm an ex tweaker, never went to rehab + sobered myself, but i've relapsed over 5 times since..

    i never thought i'd say i need rehab, let alone for fucking weed.. but i can't be doing this and at the same time cannot help myself i'm too damn mentally dependant - my anxiety and so many other things skyrocket after barely over a week sober, and the best way to get myself focused is to um. relapse.. taking my ADD prescription is literally relapsing..

    I don't loose my cool like this often, i kinda doubt i'll go through with it but omg i feel like i need to

    been drinking the last 2 days too.. idfk

  5. Its all good man! Just take a breath, think things through. Smoke less, Go outside jog a mile, get back to basics then think about the ganja.
     
  6. Also consider seeing a counselor. Sounds like you've got other problems that need addressing as well.

SHIT. listen bro. if you feel like you dont need MJ, then dont smoke any. but if you need to relax, dont drink. it only makes it worse(every male on my dad's side of the family has been an alcoholic since the 1800's, i know what im talking about when i say dont drink). and listen. go to rehab. just try it. i know the urges are horrible(smoked a few cigs when i was 13, the urges were horrible, but i learned not to fuckin give in and just do my work). just dont think about it, and go to rehab.

    look, this is pretty embarrasing, i dont know that i should be posting this here, but i compulsively mastrubate(1-6 times a day, every day). im trying to cut it down. what i do is, when i get the urge(usually when im doing my homework in my room[18, senior in highschool]), i go out side and run a mile or two. it helps man. just do anything to take your mind off of it. i hope it helps, i feel really bad about you. and i do care. PM me anytime.

    Why stop smoking so that they can just put you back on drugs?? Ive been an alcoholic since I was 13. I joined AA @ 15. Im 33 now. I was sober for over 2 years, no drinking, no drugs. In that time I discovered that I need to be medicated. I was on a whole host of pharma crap, none of it worked. Now I smoke my meds and I feel fine:D
    Dude theres nothing wrong with self medicating. Just be aware that you are doing it and try to dose less often. Also Id suggest ditching blunts, and start smoking joints or bowls. It works just as good, and stretches your meds. Quality over quanity too. One or two hits of some good weed last a lot longer than a whole blunt of shitty weed. If you aware of the situation, theres nothing rehab is going to do for you other than lock you up, and start you on pharma meds to replicate the weed your currently smoking. So really rehab is a waste of time. If you're serious about getting clean, find a local AA or NA group. Rehab is for quitters:p

  10. You need to do what you need to do to keep clean, and I fully applaud you for it. Don't listen to the asswaffles putting you down. I don't believe the cause of your problems is marijuana, but it certainly can be a contributing factor once things have gone south. This is especially true if your smoking buddies are tweakers.

    It sounds like you've come to the realization that you're not happy with where you are in life. The only time you're going to make a change is when you are experiencing this realization, so please, don't hesitate to act now. Seriously, go get clean. Figure out what the hell is going wrong in your life and get that fixed. Once that happens, perhaps you can return to the herb without bringing other bad habits with you, and without it bringing you down. Cross that bridge when you get to it. As it is now, getting your life back on track is far, far more important than any plant or drug could ever be.

Thanks from everyone, not just those really going out of their way (although that's REALLY appreciated too) I'm much more concerned about relapsing on speed.. and being too high isnt something i shouldnt be concerned about aswell, because i've got an amasing girl i could marry with the way things are/have been. But it's long distance. So temptations really have extra baggage in that way - I can't tell her about this yet though, she's having a pretty bad night already :-\

    Try psychotherapy or a good counselor before drug rehab. Wait...That's almost the same. Anyways, drugs do physically alter the state of your mind and all that good stuff, but then there's other factors in your life that you need changing.

    I also applaud you for realizing that you got shit in you life you got to take out and that you realize that you got MORE potential than you know it. Weed is awesome and though doesn't always cause amotivation, it sure as fuck kills your motivation and goals that you need to do to make something of yourself.

    I understand where your coming from my whole family has very addictive personalities, unfortunately so do i. So i stay away from harder drugs and dont drink very much but find my self feeling like i "need" to smoke but i've started smoking less and i dont need to smoke anymore just really fucking bored

    but you said your an ex-tweeker so cutting down smoking wise shouldnt be much of a hassle You just need to substitute it with some type of hobby or something.When i cut down i started smoking ciggs that helped and started drawing which is very time consuming.

    I hope you find w.e help your looking for. and cheers for realizing there might be a problem with what you do

  15. Yea man - hobbies are great substitutes.
    I like Nitro RC cars, and tinkering with my car/system. I build model cars (yea the glue is nice too;):laughing:) and read a lot.
    Good luck man - its not as bad as you think, and sometimes 24 hours makes worlds of difference;)
     
  16. Dude yeah just take up something else. Try running. Just put on some fucking shorts, shoes and shit and just go run untill you don't think you can go another step 6 days a week. It's hard at first (Especially with those lungs, you know ;P) but running a ton gives you a lot of endorphins that will make you FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF and the act of running KEEPS YOUR MIND OFF THE DRUGS. Think of it as a detox kindof. You are cleansing your body by pushing it to it's limits and forcing it to adapt.

    Oh and by quitting MJ to pursue your goals is always best.
    Remember your goals are more important then your habit.
    But do what you feel is needed. I took T-Breaks too.
    But sooner or later I'm just going to completely not look back at cannabis.
    Hopefully someday soon. for now I'm going to get educated in my goals.
    Once I discover what my true goal in life is I will possibly take a long break from cannabis.
    Unless I find that it helps with the pursuite of my goals then maybe.
    But I try not to make it a daily thing because it is habit forming like everything else.
