you fools exercise?

  1. how many smokers here put their body through some sort of physical regiment?

    i fell into the whole lazy-ass-smoker stigma for a few years and didn't do pretty much of anything. but now i've been mountain biking and i have to say i'm hopelessly addicted. the shit is just too insane. not to mention fucking scary as hell. i swear i've been close to death half a dozen times since i've been biking. its very peaceful and quiet out in the wilderness too. plus blazing up afterwards is just too awsome.


    i hate running and working out for that matter but this biking stuff is the bee's knees. you know?

    you guys do anything to stay in shape?
     
  2. I do exercise a lot: One-armed weightlifting. 1/2 liter class...
     
  3. well i dont normally exercise when im not baked. but for some reason, i always like to start walking all over the place when im stoned and i dont get tired. and ill be the first to say that im not in the shape where i could walk in my neighborhood for miles because of all the damn hills. but it doesnt even affect me when im blazed.

  5. I used to do yoga for 1-2 hours a day, and run 2 Kilometers (1.2 miles), 3-4 times a week. Now I just walk around a lot...
     
  6. Ive been working out lifting weights everyday for the past couple weeks, actually since summer started. Sometimes i really wanna work out after smoking and i notice i get a much better work out when im stoned idk why but im not complaining :smoking:

  8. i've tried smoking before biking and it just doesn't work. my coordination is completely shot and it really comes in handy going down hill.

    but a leisurely stroll around the block stoned off my gorge is the ticket. i can't recommend biking enough folks.
     
  9. i used to mountain bike, it was the third most fun activity ive participated in, after paintball and smoking. As far as excersise goes now, i play alot of ultimate frisbee, and paintball.
     
  10. Yeah, i lift weights 3 times a week (full body), and i do crunches (for them abs) daily except Saturday&Sunday. I used to run a mile every morning, but i stopped because i hated getting up @ 5:30 just so i could run before school. Now its summer and im graduated, i might start back up, but i still walk probably 2 miles or more EVERYDAY. Other then that, i am usually always swimming, playin basketball/football/hackey sack/tennis (wid my girl cuz she is on the school team)
    I know smokin makes me eat a LOT more because i get munchies so bad, so i try to keep active so i dont get fat!
    6'4... 240 lbs, benchin 280, squating 355, used to run a mile in 6:13 lol never was that good @ running, im too damn big
     
  11. disc golf anybody? please tell me each and every one of you has played this. i've dibble dabbled in paintball. i have a cocker at the moment but w/out an eblade its practically pointless to get into any tourneys. miss the old days of tipmans and spiders....

    are you on a team?
     

  12. I used to be almost identical with what I could lift and shit. I'm 6' even, 185lbs, never was much at the bench presses or pushups though. I used to squat 300, did a mile in 6 flat (1.5mi. in 9), leg pressed 500, and curled 45 per arm... I should get back into training, lol.

    My most impressive feat. though... Doin 1,000 crunches non-stop. Only did it once, and regretted it for the next 2 weeks, LOL.
     
  13. for the past year or so i get up every morning(but sunday) and jog 3 miles in the morning.. then i blaze up afterwards... if i feel like it then i might swim at night.. and when college is in session i work out between classes..

    yeah and my mile time was over 7 minutes last year.. now its just over 5...

Nice nice.. my leg press is out of control, i remember doing around 700 something, and stopping because i was gettin sore, but i have some STRONG ass thighs! lol, i got some jumps because of it too :) I can curl 55 lbs in each hand, my weakest area would be my clean/power clean, i didnt grow up doing it, so i never really got into it, i still havent.

    1,000 crunches non stop? DAMN! i do 200 everyday, sometimes i will do an extra 300 (500 total) on a workout day when im not too tired or too high. :)

    i used to do little excerises, but i'm out of the habit.. it's hard to go back in and commit to it..
     
  16. stoned_soldier...i was in your boat. then my back went out and either i had to live w/ excruciating pain and take some meds or work out and see what happens. fuck Rx's
     

  17. I wish I could do 700 again. I used to live in WV up in the mountains, and I rode my bike everywhere... After about 10 months I was leg pressin over 1,000 (as was my sister). I shoulda kept in shape, lol. What's clean/power clean??? I'm not familiar with the term...

    EDIT: This was when I was 14/15... I'm 21 now, and have since blown out both of my knees (most likely it's my ACL's), so 500 is still pretty impressive ;)
     
  18. lifting weights puts too much stress on my fragile joints guys. people like yourselves used to put people such as myself in lockers and the like.....:(
     
  19. So it's basically a dead lift then? I don't quite get the instructions... For the second lift, where do you stop? At the chest or above the head?

    EDIT: @ BlackNasty... I was never the bully type, and am actually A LOT stronger than I look. I'm actually a pretty skinny guy, who's just got strong muscles for their size, lol. It would shock the shit outta people when I'd put up 500 on the leg press, or start curlin a 45lb dumbell, as I don't look the type. It's even funnier when people start shit with me 'cause I'm a smaller dude, and I whoop their asses. I love the looks on their faces when the realize I'm not as twirpy as they originally thought, LMAO.
