You Can't Get in Trouble from Pics

I found this out over the whole "Michael Phelps smoked marijuana" ordeal.

Now the police are saying that they're not going to prosecute Michael, which is great. However, out of this whole ordeal I've learned something.

" 'We had a photo, and we had him saying he was sorry for his inappropriate behavior,' Lott said. 'That behavior could have been going to a party. ... He never said, 'I smoked marijuana.' He never confessed to that. We didn't have physical evidence. We didn't have enough where we could go arrest him.' "

He's also not being prosecuted by the college. "University police and Columbia police both said they would not pursue charges against Phelps."

So does this mean as long as you're not standing right next to a marijuana plant, any picture of you smoking or whatever else is fine? I've known TONS of people over the years that're afraid to post pictures of themselves drinking or smoking for fear of the "government" seeing them.

I hope some people's apprehension about photos can be eased now.

Ha no no, I never had an issue posting pictures of myself doing whatever. But I see people on here all the time that have something in their sig like "I don't smoke weed. Everything I say is fictional" etc etc. Plus I've met a lot of people in the past that didn't know.

Lol and your employers are gonna search for "beamish" and find you on GC? It's probably not the smartest thing to be using a part of your name or something that can easily tie to you as your screen name on a marijuana forum anyways...
