A rich person can't explain what it is like to be rich unless they have also been poor and can compare. likewise a poor person can't explain what it is like to be poor unless they have also been rich. you need a frame of reference to compare your experience to. what is it like to be human? well, compared to what?
It's not all about money. The wealthy consider themselves to be better and smarter than the poor and the poor wouldn't be poor if they had made better choices. I have no idea what the poor think of the wealthy.
What do we think of the wealthy? Hmmm...well I can just speak for myself. I don't judge rich people or assume they're all going to be mean to me bc I am poor. I was once sort of rich...well my husband inherited a few hundred K when his mom died. We bought the house with most of it but the rest went away in 4 years. That's a source of shame that both rich and poor judge me for but when we had that money we were generous with it. Gave it to poor friends and family as well as treated ourselves. Anyway my point is the OP is right. It's really easier to understand something when you experience the opposite. I never thought of it that way but life is full of paradoxes anyways so there is plenty to experience. You never know what it's going to be like experiencing the complete opposite of what you have always known. I had been warned and heard stories about people getting a lot of money then blowing it all. I never wanted to do that and neither did my man. But the green goblin that gets in you when you see something you like...or on the other end? Giving it all away to our poor friends who grew up with us. Life teaches us though. If I had that kind of money today I would respect it so much better. At least I hope so lol.
