You cant believe both, can you?

  1. Do you believe in coincidence or do you believe everything happens for a reason (everything's connected)? Here's my opinion: I believe everything happens for a reason, we just have to connect the dots. I don't think you can believe in both because, let's say, you believe everything happens for a reason but there are the occasional coincidence then that's contradictory. If the" coincidence" occurs then it's for a reason (if you believe both), no?If you believe in coincidence then you can't believe that things happen for a reason because coincidence doesn't use logic like connecting the dots and if there is logic to it isn't it happening for a reason? I never believed much in a cosmic order until drugs, a near death experience, and this song^ happened.

  4. but wouldn't the coincidences you mention be the dots that get connected?

  5. I believe everything happens for a reason.

  6. Actually I do believe in both. I believe that things happen for a reason, but fate, destiny, etc, can intervene with someone else's path/destiny/fate and perhaps that intertwining is coincidental. I think you can believe in both, perhaps one more than the other.

If one believes things happen for a reason then these" coincidences" happen for a reason so in the end they're not even coincidences anymore. So everything that happens, like coincidence, happens for a reason 'cause it's fate. Being fate, these coincidences never existed but are mere dots needing to be connected. ok, i misunderstood your post to mean that both are opposing.

or it depends on the definition of "coincidences" and "fate". coincidences to me aren't quite events that happen, but details within events. you take your phone out of your pocket a second or two before it rings, etc. fate is, well, fate. a force that shapes the happenings in the universe.

How you label the event that happened (as fate or coincidence) is the difference.Sent from my LG-P659 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
