Hey GC first off I'm sorry for making another of these threads, I cannot find the official one since I'm on my phone , search function never works. Second I AM NOT UNDERAGE so I don't want to hear this non sense thank you. So after two years of smoking my dad found my pill containers which are given at dispensaries. Parents said we will talk after I leave the gym and arrive home. I'll be completely honest I am scared shitless since its my parents, people who I owe all to and raised me. I have all the facts I will give them put any pointers if the situation gets pretty crazy (yelling, kicked out, etc). I have all my priorities straight, in college, still do chores (living under their roof so have to) and my parents have even said I've changed in a positive way, matured basically . I'm going to be responsible and come clean, best to be honest to them, why lie right ? Thanks for the help and sorry if its a wall of text for you guys. P.s. I have a inner curve in my neck area which causes back pain, stress, and disturbs my sleep at night.
Im not saying they wont but if your parents have complemented on how you have matured and your in college doing everything you are supposed to i dont see why they would have a problem with it unless your using illegally just let them know why you smoke and hope for their approval GOOD LUCK BRO

Gl bro My parents just don't want it in the house so I respect that and if I do bring it in the house I hide it well and don't smoke in there
if they say that just tell them addicts excuse or not it helps you and anything you take to help the pain has the potential to be abused and addictive so why not use something that grows naturally and isnt made chemically

Update. They think that my back isn't that bad for me to be using it. They want to try other ways like threrapy or something. And she keeps saying you need to use it over and over again for it to have effect, basically your depending on itto relief your back pain. I just responded saying well that's what you do for high blood pressure, depend on the pills to lower it, there's no one time fixer in this world, no magic pill that you take once and every thing will be cured forever.
Dude, that's some bullshit. Tell them that its legal, its safe, you're respecting their rules by not doing it under their roof, and youre an adult and its your own decision. Tell them to talk to the doctor who gave prescribed you it if they really think it's a bad idea.
i agree if your doc deemed it necessary to smoke weed for pain relief they cant really say that your back isnt that bad now some docs will prescribe the use of medicinal marijuana for fucking night blindness but they dont have to know that

just a little FYI blackmail tends to blow up in your face a lot of the time. good luck with the parental units man, believe me I know how hard it can be. Only permanent solution of that problem is moving out.
Update #2 So its the day after and things seem pretty in edge. Parents aren't talking to me as much, I almost feel as I'm not family right now, a stranger. I know its too soon to be saying that but its hard not to feel like this. Also found out that I'm diagnosed with social anxiety, anger issues, and depression which explains so much. I feel like thief isn't helping my situation at all as well.
maybe your parents arent talking much to keep themselves from yelling at you or something just give them some time theyll eventually want to talk to you from everything you have said your parents just may be in some kind of shock cause think about it all the compliments they have given you and all the progress you are making to become a functioning member of society just ruined pretty much every reason they would have to get you to not smoke anymore i personally would talk to them first to see why they were acting the way they are towards you because whether they agree with your actions or not the best thing to do is talk about but thats just my 2 cents
I agree thanks for the tip man. Right now its getting so dumb. I haven't been able to smoke lately and my back Is seriously killing me. Im even getting the back pains in class. I have huge ass knots in my whole back from the stress brought by the pain. They keep telling to go to therapy and to put some ice in the area..... That its just stress blah blah blah.
