Yellowing top growth? Not sure if ph too low or too high

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Vangrow, Dec 29, 2021.

  1. Ph in at 6.4 -6.8 every time. Feeding house and garden nutrients at 500 ppm last feed. Some are nice and green and some Seem to be yellowing and possibly locking out? I can’t have this happen.
    ph in- 6.4- 6.8
House and garden nutrients at 500ppm once per week
Watering when pot is light. 450w phlozon Cree Cobb hanging like 3 feet away.

  3. Yeah I’m not too sure I like these nutrients so far. They seem weak.

  4. Maybe up the PH a little if you are in dirt. Reference the chart.
Might be a cal-mag problem, they love the extra and I think they even require it if you are running far reds.
Up the N also will help with yellowing.

  5. Duh forgot the chart.

  6. Lol i love when people jump to things like Ph when they have a minor issue. My money says shes just a little hungry.

  8. harry HARRY!>? how u been bro? Happy Holidays man :)

@Vangrow I was suggesting you increase the rate of feeding. Try feeding the plant every other day.

  9. That pink coming out is often a mag tell. Usually also has green veins with light yellow leaves. Your ph is good for mag. Jacks recommends adding 120 ppm of epsom even to their high mag Finish formula for cannabis. It's getting to be a real cannabis thing, the magnesium, that is. If you check your water for calmag. you would have a better idea.

  10. Doing good broski. Started a new buisness and have no time. My 8th grow is in the final stages of flower. Miss learning and sharring with you guys! Congrats on Mars.

  12. I agree "yellowing top growth" is light beach or heat stress

  13. Yeah, and older larger leaves seem sensitive to the light as well.

  14. I am starting to think the older leaves get burnt out because we give them too much light over a short time, if we give the canopy a little less heat/light 40,000 - 60,000 lux under HPS, the fan leaves would last longer and we can keep the canopy cooler, I aim for 25c @ 50%humidty, VPD would be around 1.23. Would be good to see healthy green fan leaves 7 weeks in flower, that's what I am trying this run, time will tell but off to a good start.

  16. It seems like they last so long that the light increase freaks them out, or the plant is is stress trained exposing those leaves to light they never got before. They are a storage system for the plant though and will fade over time.

  17. I have to be having Ph issues. The plant was almost perfect a week ago. Is this high or low Ph? I’m getting ready to do a slurry and test run off. But damnit. Everything was fine. Idk what I did wrong. I’ve been having personal issues so I’m sure I overfeed or did something. Seems like when I’m healthy my plants are healthy. And vice versa

  20. I recently had a potassium deficiency that looked like this. It happened real quick too, in a matter of days, the lower and middle leaves started turning yellow between the veins. It started out looking like roundish yellow spots between the veins and then yellowed up fast. A few of the leaf tips turned white but I ruled out nute burn cause I was only feeding 1/4 strength MaxiBloom. So researching, I found pictures of plants with potassium deficiencies that looked like my plant and when I read this comes on real fast, I thought it might be the reason. But what sealed the deal for me was the leaf edges burning like the tips so I increased the feedings to 1/2 strength and they responded nicely. Those burned edges are a pretty good indication of potassium deficiency NPK...I wasn't feeding them enough. I agree with 420JoeBlow.
