Yellowing Plant - 32 Days in Flower

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by pistil packin, Feb 21, 2009.

  1. Hey GC, hopefully I can get some advice on what to do with this plant (the only one I'm growing -- my first grow). Here's the stats:

    What type of medium? Soil
What brand and type of soil? FFOF
    Indoors or outdoors? Indoor
    What strain? Bagseed
How old are the plants? 76 days total - 32 days in 12/12
What type of lights and how many watts? 400w HPS + 26w (actual) uvb 5.0
How far from the lights? 12"
What, how much and when was it fed? NPK? Per gallon = 1Tbsp molasses every watering; 2tsp FF Big Bloom & 1tsp FF Tiger Bloom every other watering
    What is the medium/runoff pH? Tap water pH = 7.0 - runoff = 6.6
What are the temps and humidity in the room? 60-84F / 35-60% RH
    What size pots? 3 gals
Any bugs? Look real close. No

The fan leaves began yellowing within a week of going to 12/12 HPS. Over the last 3 weeks they've been progressively yellowing and smaller leaves under the canopy are yellowing and wilting and easily plucked off, 2 or 3 leaves per day. All colas are very healthy with good steady resin production.

Questions: Is the yellowing shown in the pix excessive? Should I be working to correct it? Should I reintroduce some FF Grow Big into the feeding regimen to provide some more N?

In general, how are the buds and top cola looking? My first grow here, so I don't know if this is looking like an average producing plant or not.

    Thanks for any advice/suggestions!
