  1. My PPM/PH meter is sick and at the worst time [IMG] Mid flower. Anyhow Im trying to figure what my ladies are telling me without my pen for I hope only bout a week. I was thinking nitrogen but really not sure.

    Here is the run down.
4 Weeks Flower all same strain

    Avg PPM 1550 to 1600

PH 5.8 float to 6.1 then recalibrate. I it takes couple few days to recalibrate.

Temps lghts on 81 lght out hi 60 low 70

    Technaflora nutes 3 step

Seems to be on a lot of fan leafs but only like two plants are acting like this. Not sure where it starts, top or bottom. Hope this enough to puzzle this out.

Oh after thought I have a NYCD which is the SECOND picture. What is she telling me ?? This is my week point [IMG]

    Thanks ladies and germs [IMG]

  3. Too high of PPM. Salts are locking up in the root and plant system. You'll notice your plants are not getting dry in 12, or even 24 hours. Flush all your plants with no nutrient solution and you'll see the water get color like nutrient solution (thats the excess salts coming out). Keep flushing with water and feed them them either water until they drink like they should, or let them drink the new "salt runoff solution".

I've NEVER been able to feed any strains as high as 1500-1600. I know the calculators say you can, but one guy I've ever known fed 1500-1600 and he was a master horticulturalist and used CO2 about 1000 PPM. I do not use CO2, and have plenty of fresh air, and normally feed about 1000PPM.

I had the same problems as you lately. I lost 100 ladies because I nutrient locked them and killed them all. You noticing shriveling on one plant? The rest will soon follow. I was only about 1300PPM and 100 ladies are dead in the trash-can with a wasted effort of $8,500 to show for it. I am very unhappy but I did learn how to never do THAT again.

I recommend once every four weeks to feed your ladies with ONLY water for ONE or TWO days, then resume nutrients. Longer and it stalls them.

Also, if you are using Rockwool cubes, drop the PH to 5.5 and never go above 6. Apparently in veg this doesnt matter but in bloom they have a hard time picking up phosphorous above 6.0PPM so you prolly locked out phosphorous exactly how I did.

In the future I'm doing 5.5 PH (I thought maybe this was too low, guess not!) and fluctuating to 5.8-5.9 at the most and then back down to 5.5ish.

Good luck! Flush with water NOW or else they WILL die.

BTW, I'm growing OG Kush (Original Cut). I know the guys who seriously started the trend and got REAL REAL lucky in aquiring this cut.

  4. Ditto LAKush
    This guy know his shit.
BTW I had the same issue in dirt & maybe I'm back on track....after 2 weeks of almost giving up!

  5. Coop...where are you? Did you fix the plants? See what happens when you write a nicely thought out post...someone intelligent comes along and actually answers it.

And I've learned my shit through the GrassCity forum/Google and my own trials and errors in the past 2 years. Thanks for the kudos. I've currently got it down and finally figured it out. =)

  6. LOL Whats up LAKush  Yeah I am still without a meter so am flying blind. Come over to the grow dude and see whats up. Its in my signature.:D
