We have two plants that have been growing for 8 months, they seemed to be going well and looked healthy. Recently the leaves have started yelllowing then eventually going crunchy and brown. They then fall off or are really easy to pull off.

I’ve tested the PH levels and it seems that the alkaline is too higher so we’ll fix that up.

Is there anything else that could be wrong with her? Also, going to the attached images, how far off is she from being ready to harvest?

  2. Good job growing those plants, they look good. The yellowing is a sign it's about harvest time. I can't see well enough to tell if they are about ready but they must be close. Using a loupe is the most accurate way to determine when they are ready. What part of the world do you live in to have plants like that at this time of year?

  4. G'day fellow Victorian:)

The Yellowing is all part of her life cycle, since the plant is in flower she doesn't need all that Nitrogen at that biological time of growth. The plant is actually eating it's self of the Nitrogen out of it's old leave's to feed the newer one's, thus the yellowing & dieing.

As @Cactus Ed said, you need to look at the Trich's. I chopped one of my cuttings down a few day's ago as she wasn't throwing out anymore Pistil's and the Trich's were a good % of Amber.

Now if only i could see a "Real Female" eat her self, that would be something to behold. Lol...

  5. Down under your peak summer season should be Dec and Jan. The month before and after the longest day of the year. Plants likely dropped into flower in early Feb so count 10 weeks from then. Mid April should be the general harvest time depending on the strains. Indica can finish in as fast as 8 weeks. The more sativa leaning it is the longer it'll need to finish. Landrace strains will need 11-15 weeks.

I run on a 10 week cycle and knock out 4 harvests a year in Southern California where it never freezes. I did use a microscope early on the see just how the trichomes were maturing but now I just go on a 10 week count.

June 1st = Harvest, Take clones, Set out more vegged plants. Summer set gets 2 months of additional veg.
    Oct 15th = Same.
    Jan 1st = Same
    March 15th = Same

    Down under it'll be reversed.

Dec 1st = Harvest, take clones, Set out vegged plants. Summer set gets 2 months of additional veg.
    April 15th = Same
    July 1st = Same
    Sept 15th = Same

As long as it doesn't freeze you can flower outside off season with some figuring and a small veg space.

  6. Thanks for everyone advice, super helpful!

We’ve harvested the plants and they’re now drying. upload_2019-4-14_18-37-49.jpeg
We haven’t weighed it yet, assuming it’s probably best to wait until they’re dry. Just from looking, anyone have any ideas how much is there?

  7. Id guess couple OZs. Your gonna lose aprx. 70% of your harvest weight.
