Yellow spots

  1. Hello hello, i am currently doing a chaos grow, i two NL about 6-8 inches tall and one which is about and inch and the other is about 2 inches tall.

The two larger plants have begun to develop little yellow blotchy spots on a couple of their lower leaves, i realise this could be a number of problems esp since i have no pics but i just need to kno wt is could be.

Also i think the roots may be starting to poke through on the bigger plants, my pots are about 8 inches across and 10 inches deep, im not sure wt this is in gallons, bt wn shd i transport thm?

Id like to sex them early as space is limited, how do i go about this? how long shd i put thm on 12/12 for etc

  2. got a ph meter? what are you growing in? whats your lights? 6-8 inches is plenty to sex out unless there stretched, how many nodes u got? leaf prob snds like ph or lack of nutes what are u using? and transplant if your seeing roots nl is a sweet strain but not very forgiving read, read, read learn from your mistakes and life will be good:smoking: -peace-

I dont have a ph meter, i am growing with Miracle Grow compost (they have been doing well up until now, but after i finish my essay im going to get some different soil). My light is a 125 watt envirolite, might get a second veg bulb or js a second flowering bulb.

I want to sex the larger ones bt will the smaller plants be affected by it? will they show sex themselves?

  4. if theyre in the same room they will and vice versa to flower no lights can hit them for at least 12 hrs some people shut them off for 36hrs and shock the shit out of them but its a quick way to get the sex out and miracle grow sucks and u definetly need more light more light=more bud

  5. today , got rid of as much of the miracle gro as the roots would allow and i potted them in a mixture of peat (as it was the ONLY soil without nutrients avaliable where i live) and pearlite. Will this help my plants gt back to health?

From what i can tell it was nute burn as the loswer leaves were floppy and some had brown/yellow blotches on thm

  6. add some vermiculite for aeration and it sounds alright could be better could be worse get more light on them and u should do alright:)

  7. don't add vermiculite for aeration, add perlite.

  8. yeah thats what i meant got a little to ripped last night thanks growbot someone has to think straight in the city sometimes:smoking:

  9. thinking straight? never been accused of that before, LOL!

  10. i was away for two days and now im back the problem has got worse, the lower leaves are droopy and quite yellow the leaves at the top and middle look good tho. Shd i flush my plants? If so how do i do tht?

  11. We need pictures. Can't you find any soil without nutes? No MG Grow, no shultz or no scott's.

  12. I kno it doesnt help tho i dnt have any means of getting pictures up but at the same time im very worried, th leaves are so droopy and mostly yellow, some of them are crispy. From wat ive read i think its nute burn, i js want some1 to tell me how to revive my plants.

  13. when in doubt, flush it out! what ppm you using?

  14. firstly, remind me wt u mean by ppm and secondly how do i go about flushing them?

  15. ppm is the strength of the feed you're giving your plants. well, after you ph your plain water you run it through your medium to wash out any build-up of salts. sounds like you just x-planted to diff medium though.

  16. they were in miracle gro before, which i just found out is bad. I fed them a couple times using bio-bizz 8-2-6

  17. i ran each of my plants through the shower and im letting them drain

  18. I managed to get a camera, hopefully these pictures will help.

  19. cool, you got pics. welp, they looked overwatered. they look like they're a bit hungry too. could be the beginning of a mag def. they don't really look that bad. the large bottom leaves look like the only one's being affected. they look old enough to be on full strength or 3/4 strength. are you letting them dry up between watering/feeding? you can prob. get by w/o a ppm meter but ph is pretty important. you can pull off the old yellow dead stuff. once it gets crispy, it's gone....

  20. ive been watering every couple of days using a full pints glass, most of the time it was distilled tap water, but id share that between the four plants. The reason y i worry its nute burn is because they were in miracle grow for the first 5 weeks.

Then i started to get these problems. I fed them with a weak fertilizer after they had a couple of nodes bt stopped wn i read how bad miracle grow was, inevitably theres still some in there because i didnt want to pull the roots apart too much.
