  1. i have 10 plants nirvana ww. they are all about a month old. i have only fed them water with 1 tblspn of epsom salt per gallon. They started off on 2 48" shop lights but i just put em under the 400w hps like 4 days ago. i started lst at the same time. 2 days ago i started noticing yellow spots. can they still survive? what should i do? it gets up to 98* in there im not sure of a better way to ventalate the closet i got a fan in the closet and a window fan wedged against the door and the wall blowing air out. the room is empty, the window is left open, but there is a blanket over the window to block out light. i have them on 18/6 ever sence 2 days ago. this is my first grow so im really sure what to do.

  2. do you give them epsom salt every time you water?? If so that would be a salt build up, 98 degrees is kinda hot, but as long as its not like that all the time. But they do look healthy besides the yellow spots. Nice Lst

  3. Hey man.
If your plants are 30 days old now it is time to feed them. Get some NPK 20-20-20 fertilizer or something similar and start feeding them at about 1/4 strength. Your temps are way too high. See how you have those two fans on top of each other on the right side of the picture? Try two more on the left side sucking air out too. If that does not cut it, you might have to duct a 256 CFM fan somewhere to suck out the heat. Check the "Grow Room Design Setup" section for ideas. Oh and I would definitely STOP feeding the Epsom Salt. It is possible to give them magnesium toxicity with too much salt. Good luck and looks good.

  4. I will stop giving them epsom salt and buy some fertilizer TODAY. any reccomendations on what kind of fertalizer? i was thinking of getting a 4" inline duct fan and somehow coming up with a hard plastic or glass tube that is 4" in diameter, and sorta constructing my own cool tube. does anyone know where i can get some clear tubing that is 4" and wont melt at high temps? im lost. the guy in the plumbing dept. at home depot didnt have anything.

so the lst looks ok? i was considering aborting it all together. they really have shown no growth in the last few days. so much for investing 150 dollars in a light, they were doing better under the shop lights.

  5. Do you drop water (accidently) on leaves when watering. It can cause burned spot on leaves.

  6. i didnt know that!? but it makes sence. i mist alot with the spray bottle, do u think that could be a problem?

  7. If you mist when light are ON its probably that...

  8. hey point one of your lights at the light and the other one should blow on your plant. the one blowing on your light should also be acting as the exhaust the other fan should be as near the floor as possible and fixed so that it is pulling the air from outside of the closet. That should help a little on the temp. Oh, angle the fans slightly so that the air flow circulates. You'll know when the agle is right when you can fell the air moving even where the fans aren't pointed. Yeah, I'd kinda quit folair feeding now that you are under the HPS for 2 reasons, 1 burning 2 bulb exploding.

  9. Try http://www.insidesun.com/index.php?action=category&id=12 or http://www.insidesun.com/index.php?action=category&id=4 for some good fertilizer. Or go to the local store and get something good for vegetables; your choice. Oh and I would stop not only with the Epsom but, with the misting as well; misting is not necessary. And your light is not the problem, the 400 watt HPS is one of the best.
