Yellow Spots on Leaves

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Reptarmybowl, Nov 14, 2016.

  1. Overnight It seems our plants have developed several yellow spots. It is only on two out of six plants and confined to the lower leaves. On the leaves that the yellowing has occurred there is no defined location of where it is coming from. By that I mean it is not on the edges or starting from closest to the root, instead it is random. Here are some pictures of the affected areas. Need some suggestions on how to solve this.

  2. Looks like Cal/Mag deficiency

  3. As long as it's on old growth, that means that whatever caused it has already come and gone and this was the affect. With a soil grow, it takes about 3 days for something to actually show up on your plant. Judge the overall health of your plant by what the new growth looks like. If it's good, then your plant is good. But when something is going on on old growth, it's too late to do anything about it now. Those look like indica strains and because indicas have very tight nodal spacing, their growth is very slow. You probably could've helped yourself along in the size department by starting them in small containers, like Solo cups, and only repotting to a slightly larger container when the plant has gotten larger than the one it's in (wider and taller than). Let them dry out good before repotting too. But starting a plant in a huge container with a lot of soil slows the overall pace of foliage growth down because it takes the plant a long time to establish a root system in a lot of soil. Less soil, less time it takes. Be sure and let your plants dry out to nearly dead dry ALWAYS before watering and if you want them to be really good and healthy, make sure the water you use is pH'd to the correct range for a soil grow (6.3 to 6.7....and keeping the pH on the high end of the range will make it easier for the plant to absorb calcium and magnesium...the two nutrients that it usually goes deficient in first). But your plants are fine. TWW
