  1. hi ...i m a new grwer from greece....ihave this problem....my plants are on their first week and one of them started getting yellow....can anybody tell me whats wong...?thanks

  2. you are probably over wattering them... let them try out a bit before you water again

  3. tell us what the sprouts are growing in. What is your lighting, ventilation, water? What is the plants relationship to them? To turn yellow so early in life suggests an external problem. Like insufficient light, or heat stress, or even CO2 deficiency, or possibly rootrot from excess water as firsttimer suggests.
    eg

  4. if you overwater don't the leafs droop a lot before turning colour, and root rot cause the stems to weaken ?
i'd say neuts at that stage, however without knowing what you are feeding the plant, the growing medium and some temperature info it might be hard to suggest anything.

  5. Move them closer to the lighting don't water for a day or more and see how they react.

It's a balance till you get to the 1ft range after that don't over water or over nute... and don't nute till they're big enough. In fact are you nuting the sprouts? If so stop cuz yer killin' them.

  6. I grow some thai weed out doors the leaves only went yellow when they didnt get enough sun light or if they were the first leaves that droped after weeks when the plant got to 3foot then to six before it was ready to die in october it was amale i just did not have the heart to kill it off so i grow it for the pollen:( i dont think i have no advice just anougher tale to tell :)

  7. Not bad... I've had a stalky one like that hit 9 feet bent into a bow to ride the lights. Last minute SoG...

It dwarfed a 5gal paint bucket by the end...and it wasn't 'hard' to ax based on keeping it..the root base was thicker then a bic lighter. Sweet smoke...

  8. I was wondering, all 5 of my plants are about 2-3 inches tall, and have a few nice leaves on them...i have a humidifier and fan and all that in a closet lined with aluminum foil, how far should my light be exactly from the tips of my plants? Hopefully an easy question for a 1st timer like me, THX guys.

  9. Place your hand an inch or so above the top between the light. Adjust till you feel a faint hint or warmth but nothing noticeable without holding your hand there for a good minute.

You also can adjust within that frame of heat vs intensity by looking under the leaves an adjusting to a point where it's a semi transparent look to the leaves. This means a good portion of the light is making it to the lower nodes down the road.

Also if still young close with a fan blown right below the lights reflector rim may be a need to keep them from pulling towards the light. Not a huge problem but it'll net you taller with less branch.

  10. thx that helps me out a good bit, i have just been curious to find this out and its hard to get a straight up answer when lookin for it...so you'd say around 2 ft. away from a 400wattMH? See the thing is a few of my leaves are developing yellowish spots towards the tips of the leaves, and some in the center of the leaves...i want to get this problem fixed quick..even if its not the light...maybe its my watering schedule, ive not been watering them weekly or anything like that, but just checking the surface of the soil to see if its still moist...so basically ive just been keeping the soil theyre in moist...good/bad?

  11. Not sure if youve got your own thread for this question first timer but i would suggest letting your plants dry out a bit .. Overwatering is much worse than underwatering.. Am sure you have read this elswhere but do the finger test0hing to see when they need watering also if your plants are only young dont be tempted to feed them for a while.. Hope that helps .. Its not easy typing all that on a fone

  12. hehe, yea i feel ya...and yea, it helps...thanx man
