Yellow Cotyledons tips?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by HighMountainSkier, Oct 2, 2009.

  1. Hey GC. I'm working on my very 1st grow in a stealth rubbermaid.

    Some background:
    Strain - bag seed
    Soil - FFOF w/ about 15% perlite
Pot - Peat Moss Pot (will put this into directly into 12" pot)
Nutes - None yet (planning FF trio pack)
    Lights - 4x26W 6500K CFL 24/0 cycle for now
    Temp - Holding between 79-82
    Humidity - 40%

She just sprouted yesterday and today when checked on her, I noticed that the tips of the cotyledons have yellowed. I did a quick search, and I think this is normal, but like any nervous 1st timer, I'll ask the experts to weigh in here. Is this OK?

Also, how often should I be watering her right now? I don't want to over do it.

    thanks
    hms

  2. when mine first sprouted the tips were yellow as well, i think it was from overwatering as now that i've figured out a good watering schedule and they've turned green again now.

  3. I just gave her another check, and it looks like the amount of yellow has diminished. Thanks!
