Yellow/Brown Spots. Northern Lights Auto rqs

Discussion in 'Growing Organic Marijuana' started by Kamis.wrld, Dec 3, 2023.

  1. This is my first grow and my 2 Northern Lights have been fed their first set of Nutrients in beginning of week 2 like 4-5 Days ago. Now one of my Plants is starting to get these weird spots. Could you guys maybe help me out on what I should do now?

  2. Welcome to GC @Kamis.wrld. Post what medium you're growing in and the nutrients you're using. It looks like you are over watering and starving the roots of oxygen by doing so. Auto-flowers should be starting in the pots they finish in or you will stunt their growth when you transplant them. Especially when you're a newer grower.

  3. Using a coco based soil with a bit of worm cast and another light soil mix.(All the products were bought in Germany) Nutrients are from Atami (Bcuzz products) and used a little less than the recommended amount (1ml-1L ) since I already heard that its pretty easy to fry autos. 2 days after the feed I already saw light spots on there and since I was hectic n scared I gave the plant 500ml phd water. Which might come close with your answer. They are already planted in their last pot where they also started.

  4. When running coco coir I always feed. I would suggest very light feeds at this point and with 20% run off. By light feeds I mean around 250 ppm. I'd keep my pH around 5.8. I've never seen mixing hydro and soil have great results. Also, when running coco coir and using nutrients you do not have to worry about oxygen in the root zone. Unless of course you added a heavy soil or too much worm castings.

  5. My Light is at like 400 ppm What do you mean 20% run off? I guess I might have added to much worm cast but I also mixed it through good enough. Anymore tips on that situation that I should know/on how get the plant back to its original colour?

    I wish you luck.
    2 different animals.
Coco and soil have a different pH requirement for proper nutrient uptake.
Coco needs to be kept saturated and requires daily feeding.........it's drain to waste hydroponics.
While soil has to go through a wet/dry cycle.

  9. It has nothing to do with your light.

Run off is a term used for the water that runs from the bottom of your pot when growing using DTW hydroponics. If you water in 1 liter of water you want 200ml of runoff.

PPM is the rate of or (parts per million) of your nutrients dissolved into your water. "Your feed rate."
