Hey all, idk where else to post this. need a bit of help. Ive used Hempy Bucket, And Fabric Pots. Ive used Remo's nutrients, humbolts gold, GH Trio, GH 6/9, Maxi -7Gram/1Gal. Currently on my last grow using natures organic living soil with coco loco. 2 weeks in - looks amazing. I say last grow because it just might be. Every grow has been disgusting the last few years wasting non-stop money on it. Maybe i cant find the right strain but what happens if i do? Im currently running P.B.H. which is THCV and THCA. Completely different than ive ever grown (Lets hope attitude seed bank sent the right seeds) During my Last coco run, which was flawless. I ran half nutrients/ calmag/kelp until a beautiful 2 week flush. Each plant had its own unique smell, one smelled like glue, one as banana cherries, one was a bit lavender and another like cookie. now after 4 week hang dry 68-70~ closet temp 60~% humidity , the smells are changed a bit. cardboar, rotten fruit, cookie smell completely gone , etc.. my mind my heart dropped. OK fine. the buds are nice looking , not wet. the stems snap and not Bone dry.. OK then jarred, burped for a few days then left it to sit for a 3 days. After 3 days the smells has gotten worse i mean rotten fruit EXPLOSION, cardboard cutout junk, my gorilla cookies smells like nothing and the GLUE is more of a harsh Reggie. Edit: Its been about 3 weeks of being in a jar with no change, except the terrible smells growing more pungent , they taste just like they smell, ew. This has happened, every grow. I google I youtube, ive gotten help from most of this lovely community and Hell ive even spoke to an a.i. If i F* This grow up with the soil, Im just going to quit cannabis and hop on xanax via prescription. Out here in NYC 20$-60$ 8th bags have the worst hit ive ever, in my life. tastes good but does nothing. its been years. How F*cking Stupid Am I?
At that temp and humidity, buds would be ready to jar in 7-8 Days. 4 week dry in those conditions is way too long and that dry until the stems snap but not break is total bullshit. Overdying means that no curing can take place, and without a cure even the best strain will taste like shit.
NOT STUPID, in a rush maybe? If U expect to grow big buds like someone with decades of experience, a huge "labratory" like grow room, & unlimited $, U R gonna be disapointed. I graduated from the university of you tube, hey we all had to start somewhere, & now am still unlearning some stuff & learning others. I did notice much of your stuff had brand names. (please don't take what I say as gospel) but if U can build "your house" from the ground up at YOUR pace & learning/skill level U may do better. IMO it takes time, 3 years + here & learning.
Did you burp the jars daily? Did you have a hygrometer in your jar? For me both are required for a successful cure.
I dont think you are stupid from reading your post. However, I am not sure what you are asking. It sounds like you have no problems growing the plants it is the cure that s a problem. I thought there was a sub forum here on curing but I am not 100% on that. IF the cure is a problem, before jumping on Xanax you might want to avoid the cure stage and make hashish( or edibles or oil or ??) out of your product instead. That way you dont get on the Xanax train, and you can still enjoy the fruits of your labor. Maybe it will put the fun back into your hobby. I have dispensaries all around me but their products seem weak to me and a friend of mine(who grows a lot and knows his weed), says that the stuff he gets from dispensaries are like chasing a high that never comes. Clearly you are not alone in that department. I make hash and side step all the cure issues. It's strong, tastes fine(maybe tasteless at times), and easy to store. It might be a little easier on the lungs as well. Xanax and other benzodiazepines are truly nasty bc they are VERY addictive and hard to quit. Also, the drug loses its efficacy over time and the dose has to be increased to get the desired effect. A vicious cycle.
What Factors a Cause an "Earth" Smell What does curing your bud do? Help, Curing question How i finally got my dry-cure down.
