Unless I use a roller I still can't hand-roll a good J. They always end up smaller and less tight than one rolled in a machine (zig-zag or raw). I have trouble folding the paper over (the part where people use a credit card), it just is so dang loose after that point... what am I doing wrong? I've tried over the years and just can't do it. I normally don't use roaches, but even with them I can't roll one properly. I've watched countless youtube videos and had people try to show me, but still nothing. Anyone else with me?
I remember struggling when I first started rolling J's. Anyway a few things that I have noticed which helped me improve were; Rolling with the roach, make sure it is tight and well rolled.(try roach books rather than ripping stuff up.) Make sure your skin is crease free and that the fold of the skin from the packet is smoothed over somewhat. Make sure the weed inside of your skin is patted down before you begin rolling, and that it is pushed back a little from the non-roach end of the skin, to avoid a lot of it falling out when rolling. Always start from the middle and roll outwards pushing the roach and weed back inside the skin when needed to prevent mass spillage. Sorry if I went on a bit, just hope that these pointers can help.
Got me a bit closer. I'll keep at practicing, it's something I should really get the hang of. Thanks for the tips.
Fold about a 3rd of the paper, after its been folded twist the bottom right half of the paper. Twist it really tight, after that you can be sure you won't lose any flowers out of that end. Then put your trees in the paper (it will look like a canoe after you twist one end) and roll it back and forth. Make sure all the weed is getting rolled up in to a cylinder shape. After that just tuck the paper right behind the weed and roll it up from right to left (that's just how I do it, you can start rolling from wherever you want). That's not how a lot people I know roll but that's how I do it usually. Mostly because it's quick and simple but it's also less messy for me personally. Anyway good luck man
