I finally decided to try those bodybuilding powder formulas. I really didnt know what was good and what wasnt, but I went with xpand xtreme pump. Has anyone here tried this and have you had any success?
Bro, I've never seen that product before. It's just a pre-workout pump enhancer. I've had best results with Biotests Surge Workout Fuel or SuperPump250. I order these from T-Nation.com(best bodybuilding site available) or Bodybuilding.com
This shit sucks. I mixed some with my water, and barely 2 min in my heart is pounding and I feel like Im going to puke
If your heart is pounding two minutes in to it, then it works fast and probably doesn't suck. That puke feeling is most likley you not being used to stimulants... Take half a serving. And just for my own curiosity, did you go to a health store and randomly buy that? I just find that an odd product to buy. When noobs start out they usually just get whey protein powder.
I saw tons of these huge tubs of powder. I really know nothing about this crap. I was even told to stay away from it. Should have listened...
Waste of money Take a 200mg caffeine pill preworkout if you find you need some "motivation" for your workouts if not get some headphones and pump it at the gym
Is that all this is? An energy thing? I was looking for that crap thats supposed to make your muscles grow. Fuck.
man that's a preworkout supplement with nitric oxide, all it does it allow for easier and more blood flow to your muscles get da protein if your lookin for muslc growth
Its decent.. nothing special though. Look into White Flood, SuperPump MAX (not 250), and PreSurge Unleashed (if you can tolerate 1,3 dimeth.)
Should have done more research man. It's just a preworkout formula. The increased heart rate occurs with most of those since they are often potent stimulants. Nitric oxide boosters also help raise your nitrogen balance in theory, which is believed to help the body stay "anabolic". Eating a high protein diet does the same thing though (think about it: carbs and fats are CHO, protein is CHON). NO boosters are also vasodilators, meaning they increase the diameter of your blood vessels and get more blood pumping. I've used NOXplode, Black Powder, and Jack3d as preworkout supplements. Jack3d is by far my favorite. I now see why you were so averse to tubs of powder in other threads. These preworkout formulas can and will dehydrate you quickly if you don't drink enough water. Whey and casein protein, on the other hand, are totally different, as we have discussed. The puke feeling likely means you took too much. Start with half the minimum recommended dose and see how you feel during the workout. When you get it right you feel like a god and want to throw the weights onto the moon.
$40... Yeah I really should have put a little more time in the research stuff. It says on the box about how it increases muscle volume, and lists creatine as an ingredient so I thought thats what I needed. Oh well, Im sure I can put like a half scoop in my water bottle to kind spice it up or something.
The ingredient profile is pretty solid though. Caffeine, creatine, beta alanine, and some NO stuff like arginine I think.
All that will do is give you energy to work out; it won't help you gain muscle really. I suggest a weight gainer. It has all you need to get huge: carbs, proteins, fats, amino acids... I use this one, such a good deal for the price: $80 at Popeyes supplements (in Canada). Buy online, don't buy from GNC, their prices are rip-offs
If your looking for a product to give you more pump when you work out then i suggest Purple K. Its a creatine based supplement which helps with energy levels and the amount of push you get when you workout. If your looking for protein than a simple whey protein powder or iso/whey protein mix are good bets. What exactly are you looking for?
