okay well before i got an xbox live account i got quite a few achievements and alot of game saves. when i got the live account it started me over. is there any possible way to transfer those files over from the profile before live to my new live activated account?
You can transfer game saves to your xbox live account but you will no longer get new achievements in those games. I had this same thing happen to me, got up to 5000 gamerscore and then had to reset just to make a new live account.
