Welcome to my first serious grow thank you for clicking! This is mainly an experiment for me to test the waters of growing and to see if growing my own medicine is an immediate possibility for a college student on a budget. Any suggestions to improve my facilities or my general plant health would be much appreciated, as would any words of inspiration, hellos, or, cool gro bro's. Please comment/like/rep if you think I am on the right track or like what ya see. What I am working with: 2x42w Prolume CFL 2700k Y-Socketed into a 10" Aluminum reflector, they stick out just a wee bit. Reflextix Cylinder Surrounds the Plant/Light. Fox Farm Ocean Forest Watering with Brer Rabbit Unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses, and TigerBloom. Add EWC? Liquid Ph test drops Ph up and down Flowering since ~8-15-11 (30d) Sign of Preflowers!
Flowering since ~8-15-11 (31d) Just watered up with TigerBloom I hope there are some visible results within the weekend, one can only wait.
Flowering since ~8-15-11 (37d) Pic update way more angles this time and looks like my phosphorus symptoms are going away! I am starting to see sugar on my leaves yes! Any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks for stopping with the.kind words Smurf. Update tomorrow when I am less lazy. Lost a few more leaves when I added ewc to my watering :/ stopped that immediately and kept it to tiger bloom and molasses.
Getting chunky, just compared to the first pics and dayum. My favorite shot of the grow so far. Annnd one more because one isn't enough for a post.
Looking like a really nice plant, I cant wait til I put mine into 12/12 and get to experience this.
Sweet glad you like, I like to think she is too. It really is an epic experience tending to a flowering plant and watching the bud grow probably my cheapest hobby to date.
Ahh humbug, this zinc deficiency is wreaking havoc on all my leaves and is starting on the main cola leaves. Zinc def seriously came out of left field, I also had to throw out the TigerBloom I got from a friend, you'll see why. I hope I don't have to early harvest, watering is tomorrow and I got some zinc washers in my soil so hopefully that combats the def I am seeing. And wtf happened to cause this bullshit!? Luckily this nasty green shit wasn't introduced to my plant, should I be a little worried about molds or whatever though? TigerBloom Molasses water. The TigerBloom Tupperware had the same shit going on.
Well the washers worked for a little bit now shes experiencing deffies from n p and possibly k I feel like. Would it be smarter to harvest now? ~or~ Wait until more fan leaves continue to yellow out? This is my first experimental grow and do not want to purchase any liquid nutes just for this small harvest. I plan to go all organic next run by ammending my soil. Any east ffof mixes anyone have available? View attachment 731464 View attachment 731465
I would ride it out as long as you can man. Those buds still have a few weeks. The longer you can keep the plant producing at least something to your buds, the better. You know the best answer is nutes though, but I understand not wanting to buy anything.
Man, nice growing journal. I have been thinking of growing myself but can't atm because i still live with my dad. I'm definitely gonna be checking back here Although, what happened in your last post bro...ur plants don't look too good
Thanks for stopping by Zyzzogex. Im still living with my parental units but I have enlightened their view on MJ after these four years of blazing, they used to be nazi's. And they dont? Probably because I stopped with nutes about a month ago due to some BS. I believe the weird looking new leaves is a bad thing, but at this point with my nutes going bonkers and this being my first grow I am just bringing this lady to harvest without any more products added.
Yea to me the leaves look slightly off, as compared with the previous pictures. Notice many of the nice large leaves have retracted and turned brown? Lol I could just be tripping as I've never grown myself, but assuming the pattern of a healthy plant it doesn't look too good unfortunately... Idk, someone experienced correct me if im wrong. I love the marijuana plant, personally I find them the most beautiful vegetation. Plus its your first grow, cant expect it to be perfect looking forward to the harvest?
Oh you bet I am ready for harvest, cant wait I hear the best smokes the bud youve grown yourself! I did talk exchange messeges with an experienced grower he told me the yellowing and dieing fan leaves was a normal thing when a plant nears harvest.
Oh I see, probably the plant transferring unneeded energy to the buds or something like that? I've heard that as well, looking forward to seeing some nice pics
I wanna harvest so bad but somethings telling me my plant needs more time. Some pistils have began to receed back into the calyxes! Large update below! These two below are older but only a few days. Sunglasses Comparison Shot.
