  1. Well i've got 4 ladies in flowering now, and I took 4 clones, and planted 2 PPP seeds. I'm going to post pictures here as I go along.

    ill keep u updated

  2. Lookin good...i see you are using cfls and tubes...how many watts total? good luck

  3. ..the flowering rooms got about 220 watts, and the veg only has 150..

ive been wanting to add more lights to the flowering room especially because 150 is fine for the clones/seedlings in the veg room for now, but 220 for 4 ladies isnt enough..I just dont have much room to add lights..any ideas, or thoughts?

  4. you could use an hps, but then you would need good ventilation to cool the room down. Looks like you're growing in an attic...gets mighty hot in the attic.

Maybe you could replace all the fluro tubes with some of those high output CFLs...the ones with around 100 watts with them. I'm not sure though, hopefuly someone more advanced in the subject will point you in the right direction.

  5. well..the 7 tubes are only 20 watts a peice adnt hen there are 3 other cfls you couldnt see, but they are grow lights and 6 plants grew VERY good under the lights for vegetation..getting a hps would be a complete waste of my time since i already spent and bought all of these cfls, im definently going to add more cfls to the veg room, but thats a NEW room, just built it 2 days ago..the 4 ladies have been under those same lights since seed

  6. well they will veg well under the flouros but they won't flower very well with 'em

  7. p.s. be careful using those bags for the clones. the leafs can rot if they are touching the sides of the bags.

  8. damn thanks..btw my two PPP sprouted already..3 days w/out germinating first :) update later gtg

  9. Your going to LOVE the PPP, very strong plant and VERY FAST growing, almost uncontrollable and stoppable......

Your seeing the first signs of that already by the speed it sprouted.

  10. thanks man, i checked them all and YOU WERE RIGHT..one of them had pinkish on the leaf and it was just real soggy...not much at all though, i moved to a better setup thanks for the tip, heres a pic

i just used an old floppy case

also, i've got some bad news..i went and checked on my males outside after a big rain storm...they were still in their pots and they flooded out..poor guys

think it's worth drying them and smoking it? ..they were about a week into flowering

and btw, heres a pic of the new PPP sprout
    [IMG]
..what do you think PPP's max height would be if on LST

  11. LOL ja poor guys, but if you really wanted them them hanging and being week does not mean they are dead, they look fine to me, just some sunshine would have perked them right back up, males are a bitch to kill.

  12. they lost most of their roots..and i didnt really care that much

plus they were laying in mud for about a day in a half (the stormed for like 2 days)....when i picked htem up fan leaves started to fall off the stem..i dont think it was worth rescuing..besides, i've got clones :p

  13. today i'm getting an HPS for my flowering room! It's only a 150W but im getting it cheap from a friend, and I'm going to combine it with the flouros..its going to be great..ill update w/ pics later!

  14. i finally got the hps up :) , tommorrow im adding ~100 watts of 24" tube flouros also, giving me 250 watts hps/flouros..maybe i'll add all 7 flouros if they fit, leaving me with ~300 watts, for my four girls.

  15. just lurking man,
looking good, and great work with the HPS, you will definatly see the difference ina phew days, just have to watch the heat they produce, are you runnign any ventalation???, plants like us have to breath etc, they give off gasses which if not removed will have a negative effect.which leads to unhealthy yeilds. worst case scenario, you should at least have an extraction fan sucking air from your grow area, and a passive intake via holes you cut or drill to bring in fresh air whist your extractions going. i recommend a centrifugal fan they are the quietest, though not cheap, somthing to invest in though, run it 24/7 and your plants will thank you.

    good luck

  16. plants give off oxygen and take in carbon dioxide. i thought that was obvious

  17. yes i'm sorry i haven't posted any ventilation here..but yes, you'd be suprised what i have actually..

in the back part of both rooms, a fan, with the huge aluminum pipe wrapped around it, blowing directly out of the room..and THEN i have a 4" flex pipe coming in from the attic, which I tapped into my AC line. The AC is blowing into both rooms, and is controlled from my house thermostat :p. In the room with the HPS..the AC is blowing directly onto the top of the HPS light, keeping the room around 82 degrees during the day. What do you think? Good?

  18. hey i forgot i had an update :smoking:

i added the flouros this morning, could only fit 6 of the 7, so that leaves me with 120 W flouro, and 150 watt HPS..much better than my ~200W flouro setup before :)

    is this not awesome?!?

my point is mr biologist, they need constant fresh air .allways one in the crowd. good to see youve got some vent going on anyway rocks

  20. plant's give off both 02 and c02 the roots take in oxygen and give off c02 and visaversus for the leaves they take in c02 and give off oxygen the effects are lower for the root there are times when plants roots give off more c02 is at night when the plants use very little c02 or so i read
