Been having trouble finishing up the a couple of verses for different songs. Was wondering ways in which others get out of writer's block. I'm rapper if you're curious about genre but I'm sure that doesn't matter. Any feedback would be appreciated
When I was in college, my English Writing professor told us that when we experienced writer's block we should just sit down with paper and pen and just start writing, non-stop, whatever comes into our head even if it doesn't make any sense at all. Just keep writing and writing until suddenly something breaks. This method has actually worked for me on several occasions.
take 5, get some fresh air and remember your inspirations i also agree with what pearl said..write non-stop even if it doesnt make any sense, your mind will break free sooner or later i assume thats you rappin in 'rude boy'? sounds dope, homie im also a rapper
ive written very few songs cause i can get about half a verse then bam, writers block, ive found that when i have writers block i start reaching real far to find things and they end up being really dumb, but i usually just give in and go with it. it usually ends up better than expected. look at kurt cobain. not everything he wrote was amazing but he made it work. also you can refine these things later and it ends up being awesome. tldr dont throw out those bad ideas you get with the block, use em, and later refine them
Word thanks for responses...def gonna put in mad hours on these lyrics come my next day off... @george ignance yup thats me rapping doe...you got any tracks online?
