That's the dumbest thing I've heard in a few days. With every grow tent the mylar coating is wrinkly, as it should be. The wrinkles are used to bounce light rays around the tent to minimize dark spots. Wrinkles in aluminum foil can create hot spots. In fact, aluminum foil itself can create hot spots. Don't use it.
