So recently I've been gettin really into writin poetry and lyrics, different kinds like mainly indie rock and rap. Anyways, I showed this pretty new friend of mine who I've been hangin out with my raps, and rapped them for her. Well she loved them, and apparently she knows a guy personally like has met a few times and is friends with on facebook a guy who is good friends with jay-z. She sent him a message saying how "hot" my lyrics were, and you know seein what he thinks and stuff. So yea I'm like ridiculously excited right now. I mean, who knows what exactly I'm gonna do with my life, but either way that's crazyyyyyy
I don't wanna be that guy, but the music industry is a big hunk of bullshit stacked on bullshit. I know a guy who claimed he knew a music producer from Dubai, and I actually met the guy (nice suit, expensive jewelry, looked like the real deal). Then a couple of weeks later it's like the guy never existed. So even if she knows someone who's close to Jay-Z, it doesn't actually mean something (yet). Don't get your hopes up too high.
