Update About Advertising on Grasscity Important: A New Chapter for Grasscity

Wow, it actually sprouted!

    Okay, so I threw a single bagseed into a vase of miracle grow and about a week ago it actually sprouted!

    It's freezing cold outside, so I can't transplant it anywhere.

    What can I do to ensure it doesn't die? It's sitting in my window sucking up whatever sun it can but it probably is definately not enough. How little can I spend to keep it ticking in my room?

    go and buy a cfl light the hightest wattage possible.. not too expensive..

    Okay I got a ballast and cfl, i think its like a 40 watt bulb, 3 or 4 footer, how often should I water it?

    stick your finger about an inch or so in the soil, if its dry, it needs watering. DONT overwater, very bad.

    Well, do you have $20?

    FIRST! Change the soil as soon as you can before the Miracle Blow kicks in, if it has not already! Buy something that does NOT have time released ferts in it, and a little extra cash you put into soil will take you further than any other investment will!
    SECOND! Goto your local Wal-Mart, or anywhere for that matter and pick up some CFLs and a 12-14" pot. Find the lights in hardware and look for a spectrum of 6500k. This will hold you off till you are ready to roll onto flowering.

    Don't worry about nutrients right now, most soils have enough nutrient value to give the plant a few weeks of growth before any defeciencies.

    But hurry up and change that soil as soon as you can! It will kill your plants faster than putting them in the microwave!

    Wow thats fast.

    I guess I could do some shopping, it might prove to be worthwhile.

    Specially if I get an ounce of pot out of it.

    I'm really not even sure if it is a boy or a girl yet, how can I tell?

    and what if I told you the leaves don't have any grooves on them, or is that normal for very very young sprouts?
