I can’t speak for Weinstein but Rubin is about shallow of a political thinker as they come and Peterson is so hilariously out of his depth whenever he ventures outside of psychology. He blatantly just lies about what post modernists think and talks out of his ass when it comes to philosophy. I’m not even saying the dudes dumb cause I think he’s a smart guy but it’s clear he hasn’t read a lot of the source material. It’s clearly the only post modernist text he’s ever read is Stephen hicks explaining post modernism which is also a hilariously skewed perspective on the topic. Plenty of left wing people that engage in philosophical discussion they just aren’t very popular. Zero books, contrapoints, and Michael Brooks are three that come to mind.

Also I would check out Marcuse (not down with a lot of his stuff but he was an interesting writer). Also I would check out Rick Roderick’s lecture series and Noam Chomsky who is a pretty big left leaning philosophy buff. Lastly, Asad Haider wrote an excellent book called mistaken identity which is just right on the money.

That whole debate was pointless. Nobody agreed on definitions of anything so it was like four completely seperate arguments where nobody was engaging on the same terms.
