I lost track of how long it's been flowering.

    I'm using CFL lights.

It still has plenty of white hairs and a few very orange ones. Should I wait until absolutely all of the hairs are orange?

Can someone post some pictures of plants that are ready to harvest so I know what they look like?
    Thanks

  2. Take a shot of one of the buds with the macro setting on your camera if you have it, if not then get a small hand microscope - look at the trichromes, if they're mostly milky and some reddish or red dots starting then you can harvest

Edit - that's a beauty, do you know the strain?

  3. google.com/calendar is your friend! Track your grow!

You can harvest it anytime you like man, providing that you've begin to flush it out. If it's been flushed you can rest assured that it will be a smooth smoke. The longer you wait to harvest, the more yeild you get (to a point of course, I think the longest finishing strain is 11-12 weeks). Also the longer you wait to yeild the type of high changes (this is also dependent on what percent your strain is sativa/indica). The longer you wait the more of a couch lock, super sleep potion effect your weed gives. The sooner you harvest the more of a cerebral trippidy spaced out high you can get.

Do w/e works for you bro. Nice plant yo.

  4. yes what he said. the trichs, the trichs.:D:D

  5. I would flush it for another week atleast, unless more then half of your trichs are amber.

  6. Looks like a beauty. I'd be patient and give it another week or a week and a half, it will probably bulk a bit and get a heavier frosting of THC all over.

  7. Here are some close ups.

Oh and I don't know the strain. It's a CFL bagseed budget grow which turned out to be a beast.

  8. Dude, if you're growing with CFLs and it's that full, I would venture to say it's either ready or damn close to ready. Get a 60/100x microscope, you can cop one off of ebay for like $10 shipped

  9. I have the mini scope already. It's hard to see the trichomes. Some are amber though. Others are cloudy. Only a few are still clear.

  10. It's close then, unless you want an all couchlock high. I'm still a noob myself, but I would water with molasses and harvest in the next few days, that's just my opinion though.

  11. Damn you got BEAST ! What CFL did you use ? I have set up with CFL and two plants, but I want my plants be like urs ! Nice !

  12. That is a beast congratulations on the lucky bag seed. :)

  13. Flush it now thoroughly... then, harvest it when the soil starts to dry out a bit. Do you have a clone of it? How many watts of CFL and what spectrum did you use? Growbox? Vege time? Tell us more.... Nutes?

  14. I tried to take a clone right after it started flowering, but it never grew any roots. I think I was too late.
I was using between 150W-175W for this plant and I had a mixture of blue and red spectrum CFLs. I upgraded to about 300W just recently, maybe 3 weeks ago.

I vegged until I knew the sex. Right after I found that out I started flowering.

I used Miracle Grow fertilizer from lowes during veg and bought the bloom booster from Miracle Grow once I started flowering. I mix 1.5 teaspoons of fertilizer with 1 Gallon of water and give it to the plant. The plant doesn't get much more than that. Sometimes I spray the leaves with bloom booster.

I don't use a grow tent, just a closet with white walls. I also stressed the shit out of the plant by constantly having to carry it out when inspections started. The two main stems form a big Y shape and I once put too much wait on the top stems and it just splitted the entire plant in two halves. I strapped them back together and funny enough it survived.

Edit: It is obvious that I am not growing this plant to its fullest potential. With hydro, better lights and better nutes, this plant would be even more of a beast.

  15. After you harvest it... try to revegetate it under 24/0 blue light. Do some searching for past posts about revegatating and other book or internet resources. I'd read the bonsi moms sticky in the advanced growers section. Obviously, it won't be to that scale, but you need only be looking for a plant that back in the vegetative state so, then you can take cuttings and even flower it again. Revegetating doesn't always work, but the more sativa in it's background the better the odds (I think). Good luck in harvesting and good luck trying to save your plant. I'd think it's worth saving, that depends on how it smokes though.

  16. That plant is a beast! I would wait until there are like 70% amber hairs/trichs and chop that baby. dont get impatient. you've done all this work, dont ruin it now!

  17. Sounds complicated. How long after revegetating will I be able to take cuttings? I will do some research on that. Thanks for the advice.

  18. To me the leaves look more sativa then indica and it doesnt really look done. Them buds should swell up abit yet. Id start flushing and give it about 2 more weeks.

Good luck in whatever you do.

  19. its not complicated. dont cut off all the leaves when u harvest, put it under your flours 24/7 and in 2 weeks or so ull have clonable cuttings.

  20. I'll tell you what, that is the single most stunning 'Miracle grow and CFL' plant I have ever seen in my life! I think you've found your true calling, I swear to god.
