http://www.truthtree.com/thc_extract.shtml would this work .. drops on a cigarette of this stuff ? ??? and also i made cannabutter and i didnt do it in a double boiler .. just simple .. and it still worked whats the point of the double boiler ? does it work better peace gc
I just used that method to make some hash out of one of my males. Only thing I would change-- Skip the oven-- evaporate the oil in a clear dish with a fan over it. It will take several hours, but is much safer.
Well I didn't know either so heres what some googling got me. Conventional stove top cooking calls for direct heat under a metal or glass food container. This works well for heartier foods such as meats or vegetables, but delicate sauces and chocolates often break down under direct heat. A double boiler allows eggs and other heat-sensitive sauce ingredients to heat slowly and evenly, eliminating the possibility of scorching or overcooking. Chocolate must almost always be melted in a double boiler, because direct heat will cause the temperature to rise too quickly and the consistency to be ruined. I have always used this method just never knew why I could see it working the way you did it as long as you watched the hell out of it but I wouldn't do it just because I don't want to ruin bud if I don't have to. As for the link I have no idea if that would work, looks like an awfully big experiment but I didn't sit down and read it all so I duno. Good luck
josh hit it right on the head. It's easy to burn butter, especially since most people i know get blazed as all hell before cooking with bud. a double boiler just makes sure you don't burn it. I personally don't like using them, it takes too long. I always cook with oil. In my experience it's been more potent, and is easier to deal with, IMO. yeah, the tincture dropped on a cigarette ought to work. I've only seen tinctures that were to be dropped under the tongue, but i don't see any reason why it wouldn't work to smoke it, though it will definitely be more effective if you just drop it under your tongue.
