  1. Hey,

i was wondering if i could start a Hydroponic setup by using cheap and inexpensive equipment such as...

    a rubbermaid tub
    aquarium air pump
    fluroscent lights
    and a fan

if i'm missing something, please correct me
    cheers:smoking:

  2. That's a good start.....You'll need some nutrents, and somenet pots, or something homemade that are similar to net pots. I'd reccomend you at least get a timer (for your lights,) a ph meter, a tds meter, and some sort of HID lighting for when the plants get a little older. Look at the stickies at the top of the forums. I believe dierwolf wrote one on how to make your own DWC bucket, which is very informative. Read, read, read.........

  3. can i get all these supplies at like a fish/pet store....(pH stuff, pumps....etc)

  4. PH up, down, and test kits you could get at a pet store, along witht he pumps and tubing you will need. For the net pots, if you don't want to order any online, I'd say go to a pool store near by. You can use the little plastic things from pool filters as a replacement.
