Hello grasscity. After a not-so-good first grow I am trying again! My plants did good in veg but I messed up in flowering though I did still harvest. I have a 400w hps, 6in inline fan, carbon filter. I dont want to order online and wait and I have 10 bagseed. My tent can fit four full sized plants. Could I maybe grow 8 plants in veg and then once they show sex throw out all males and use hopfully 4 females? My tent is 4.6ft long, 2.X ft wide, 7ft tall.
I'd use 3 gal smartpots, <$5 each at the growstore. You can pack em in there and weed em out as they show sex. 3 gal smartpot supports some excellent growth under a 400w, same as a 5 gal bucket IME without taking up the same floorspace.
