Would this work for anxiety?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by bruiser18, Apr 27, 2018.

  1. Smoked a strong sativa a good few times and it was great, one day smoked and it triggered awful anxiety, panic attacks, depersonalization etc and i have not smoked weed since cause im scared to make it worse, the last 2 or 3 times i smoked were terrible.

Since I live in an illegal country I don't have access to High CBD weed, but I do have access to legal CBD buds online. What if I were to get an indica say 15% thc, and CBD bud that was 20% CBD and rolled the 2 into one joint, would this be similar to smoking high CBD weed? Cause mixing the 2 would mean lower thc and high(er) cbd?

  2. Yeah man that would work I do that all the time

  3. Oh sweet where do you get the CBD flower from? What kind of strains do you mix it with?

  4. I buy cbd strains from dispensaries and grow my own thc strains I use AC/DC, harlequin, cannatonic, penny wise, quarkle, cbd og kush, shark shock, Charlottes web etc

  5. Oh I'm talking cbd hemp buds that you can get legally online, less than 1% thc and like 15-20% cbd. Would that work the same if I was to mix it with thc strains?

  6. Sativas can spike my anxiety. Indicas will help smooth you out

  7. Yep, thats what I'm gonna get. What do you reckon about smoking it with cbd hemp flower too? It will probably help to have higher cbd content

If you can, don't use it. But if you have chronic pain like me and need to medicate, taking 5-10mg of CBD will help ease it. Don't overdue the CBD because it is a stimulant and can exacerbate the symptoms. I also found that taking the sativa orally via a oil infusion can help smooth it out, but don't expect huge results, and if you overdue the oil you'll be wound up for a long time. The best thing would be to get an indica if you can.

  9. Edit: sorry, read your post wrong, thought you were trying to make the sativa work. The indica will make everything better, shouldn't need CBD unless you need the anti-inflammatory properties, but it won't hurt it small quantities

  10. Haha I understand what you mean. I'm more worried about the thc causing me anxiety, even if it is indica. I've been diagnosed with panic disorder about 6 months ago and I've started cognitive behavourial therapy and I dont want to make things worse, so i was thinking if i smoked a small amount of indica with the cbd I should feel the desired effects without the anxiety .

  11. Joints can waste a lot and deliver really inconsistent doses especially if you're not an experienced roller. For a beginner I'd recommend a small pipe with little doses at a time.

  12. I was on xanax for 1.5 years, I'll never touch the stuff again, so I know where you're coming from. Too much THC will aggravate it, but I think you'll find that a proper dose of indica will make a drastic difference. It works very differently than a sativa

  13. I don’t trust any of those sites is it a legit one what’s it called

  14. I used cbd oil drops under tongue before smoking joint never got anxiety still felt high.

  15. Good point, I can sometimes gloss over things like this. If you find a reputable oil where you are, if you put 5-10mg (convert mL to mg) under your tongue (sublingual) and keep it there for 3-5 minutes you'll have some relief from anxiety in 3-10 minutes in my experience, then swallow it and the effects will continue for 2-5 hours depending on your system. In the states the CBD oils taste like total crap since they're made from industrial hemp, so keep a tasty drink nearby, but YMMV.

  16. Yeah man I was thinking vape or pipe to just ease into it

  17. I tried xanax, really wasn't for me.

I think you're right, any time I smoked it was usually sativa and I usually smoked a lot. I smoked the strain cheese a couple times and that made me high as shit but again I did smoke a lot. I'll get maybe a kush strain, and I won't get no 10/10 hydro shit either lol maybe some weaker bud, definitely indica. I'll start off vaping so I can dose properly. Do you think when I fully recover from panic disorder I can build up and smoke regularly again? I know thats a broad question but you obviously have some experince with anxiety. And obviously not getting crazy high like I used to and end up fucking myself up haha

  18. There's a good few different ones, like mrhemp.ch and mediweed.com

  19. Do you smoke indica more so? And have tou ever felt much anxiety without the cbd?

  20. Yeah I only really have access to hemp oil cbd since I'm in an illegal country, dutch natural healing is where I plan to buy my oil from, pretty sure they can't get it from weed so would have to be hemp. Not sure if that makes much of a difference regarding effectiveness. I'm afraid it might not work for me tho, because I've vaped a local brand in a shitty vape and felt almost nothing for anxiety, and I've bought illegal full spectrum high potency CBD paste and felt nothing at all, made me sick even. I'm hoping this will work and I'll also try smoking cbd hemp buds.
