i just finished changing the oil in my car when i looked at my air intake and i got an idea. would it work if i took a intake filter filled it with activated carbon and used it as a carbon filter?
wELL, as long as you used vapor phase carbon, and you made sue it was not going to be pulled into the fan (the carbon) by putting nylon over the duct, it should do alright, providing also that it is going on a micro grow. I have actually thought of this before, but not for smell purposes. I was talking about using an auto filter box and filter to filter incoming air into the grow. I guess it would be worth a shot, but I still only give a 100% approval rating to a ready made store bought unit. Have tried the DIY, and now own a CAN.
