Hows this setup sound. Im going to buy 8 led panels from http://www.ledwholesalers.com. 4 all red, and 4 mixed to achieve the 10 - 20% of blues per Red. i am buying 8 to make sure i have enough watts for a 6'x6'x6' room. i also am getting 2 CFL to help with the full spect so the plants will thrive instead of growing with the minimal red and blue. heres a short pic i made. a full CAD drawing shortly. Do you think i should up the CFL's to 4', 54 watts per tube? and get 218 watts in all?
I don't claim to be an expert on anything, especially LED, but I don't think that is nearly enough light for a 6' x 6' x 6'. If 8 panels is all you have in your budget, I'd plan on not using the entire space for my first grow (until you get a feel for the results). I didn't notice it in your plan, but I think you are going to want the plants very close to the panels at all times. You can't put the panels on the ceiling, the plants on the floor and hope for the best. Regardless, I commend you on going the LED route. I do think it is the future of grow lights...but maybe not yet the present (for larger grows). Good luck.
