I'm applying to Nursing School, and I had to take a drug test(urine) as part of the pre-reqs. Originally, I took the test about two weeks ago(the Thursday before Hurricane Sandy). I spent about 3 weeks before going clean, after having smoked pretty heavily the months before(spending about 60-80 bucks a week on it). During my detox process that time, I just didn't smoke, but there were a few times(1-2) where I was around people who were smoking(not close enough to directly inhale, but close enough for possible 2nd hand). So anyway, due to the power outtages from the storm, I wasn't able to get my results until today. Turns out I still tested positive for Canniboids. Not sure how it happened, and not sure what the hell I'm going to do, as I thought it was all "in the bag", and smoked somewhat heavily over the last 7 days or so. Now, my deadline is November 30(today is November 5), and I have to find some way to pass this test before then(takes 3-5 days to process the test too). I'm a bigger guy(230lbs, 6'1'') and wasn't working out during the first detox attempt, but I'm willing to work out daily if it'll help my chances. I still have a small quantity left to smoke, but I'm more than willing to flush it, if theres a chance I can still detox. I don't get paid till Friday, so if I have to pay for any aids in detoxing, I won't be able to stop till then, but once I do get paid, any aids will be worth it, if it helps me turn up clean. I'm absolutely freaking out right now and would appreciate the help. Other than my drug screening, I'm more than qualified for the program(Nearly aced the entrance exam, have a nigh 4.0 GPA, no criminal record), and it sucks that I may lose out on my chance to continue schooling due to this(also, Im sure my family will throw me out of the house if they find out I didn't get in due to this), so I'm begging for any and all kinds of help. But please, don't sugar coat my chances. If I am FUBAR, then it helps more to know than "Hopefully maybe it'll all work out, you never know." Also, if anyone knows if you can still get accepted into a program like this without passing your drug screening, please let me know. So, in summary: HEEEEEEEELP! Seriously missing the point of my post man... I need help with the detox. I could care less about smoking afterwards.I'm trying to not screw up my life(sounds melodramatic, but I do have quite a bit riding on getting into the program).
A. 6'1", 230 pounds? That's not good health wise. It's hard to get drugs out of your system when you're overweight. B. Why flush the weed? Save it for after...it won't decompose... C. Try Niacin D. Drink cranberry juice and water (not together, obviously) all the time. Flushes out your system.
A. Well, yea, I know, and I do regularly exercise(well did, lost about 30lbs a few months ago, and sorta just stopped). I passed in the past having just not smoked for about two weeks(To be fair it was a home test), and again after not smoking for about three or so weeks(Getting a job at my hospital). I don't know how I failed this time, especially since I was heavier those attempts. B. This isn't a big issue to me either way. Save it or dump it, I don't care about that right now, only about passing my test. Besides, I only have less than like, a quarter of a gram left, if even that. It's enough for maybe one more smoke session, at best. C. What does Niacin do, and how long would I have to start taking it to be good for the test? D. Well, I love cranberry juice, so thats not an issue, and water shouldn't be as well. Is it alright just to rely on this though? I feel like I should be doing more. Thanks for the help so far. I'm panicking like crazy right now, haha. If only my power hadn't gone out, I could have seen the "Positive" result before smoking once more.
Take it from me, if you have 20 days, your best way to naturally detox it is to exercise regularly throughout the days. The thc saturated within you can almost completely expel within that time frame. Best excessive you can do is full body, like swimming/jogging On top of that you can do the old "detox liquid" tricks. some will say cranberry juice, others grean tea, etc. My personal recommendation is if you really care about detoxing, to eat lot a diet of raw fruits/vegetables only. Fruits like papaya/mango/berries/pears over time will cleanse the body on top of your exercise. Lastly, you can dilute your urine before the test by drinking water. If you REALLY want to pass it, you can do the old "vitamin B" pill trick. Drink even more water to dilute more than you would've, and drink a vitamin B pill to give your urine much more color. The only problem is if you drink TOO much water, they may test you for low creatine and know that you abused the test.
Niacin is like the classic drug cleaner for stoners. Here is a link: How to Detox With Niacin | eHow.com ....also, just google "niacin detox weed" or something similar and many forums/sites will come up to help. Don't take more than the recommended amount because it can fuck up your liver or make you feel ill. It also depends how much you were smoking. If you were toking like an eighter a day, that's a lot of THC in your system. If you were smoking an eighter a week, or less than that, you should be alright. All bodies are different of course. I would look into the niacin flushing of your system, but start drinking a lot of water and juice right away.
Niacin is not good for your liver in large doses and can be toxic. I would stick with working out daily, drinking lots of water and eating low fat foods the rest of the month. A UA can take up to a full 30 days in a regular, overweight user to clear. If you decide on taking niacin, do your research.
You are being very helpful, and I thank you immensely for it. What is an "eighter"? I'm kinda new to much of the lingo(despite smoking for about two years on a regular basis, Im more of a solitary smoker). When I do smoke, it's usually about quarter to half a gram, if not less, a night. I smoked almost a quarter last week though, since my cousin was stuck at my house(so in reality, its more like, I smoked half a Q during that time). Normally, I'd smoke that amount over about 10 days, if not two weeks. I tend to smoke on a nightly basis, occasionally(1-2 days a week, if that) smoking in the morning/afternoon. This may sound like the dumbest question ever, considering my situation, but should I just smoke the last of my shit(less than enough for a small bowl pack) tonight and start the full detox tomorrow(I'm drinking plenty of fluids today, and eating lots of fiber, but can't work out since I have to work on a project all day), or is that going to be something too detrimental/moronic to even consider? I tend to be a bad insomniac, so one of my main reasons for smoking is just to get to sleep at night, so Id like to be able to get one more night's good rest before cleaning up completely.(Sleeping pills made me feel like a zombi during the day).
So, if I say, biked/weight trained every other day(and did ellipticals on the days I didn't) for 30mins-1 hour each session, would that be enough. I've always hated jogging(preferred biking/rowing immensely), and I don't have anywhere I can swim(also, I can't swim, heh).
Weight training would do very little, biking more so but still. Weight training is about mechanical bodily movements, exerting force into something rather than outward. It's something outwardly like hopping around, dancing, climbing trees, jogging, swimming that enables a synchronized full body burning, that over time, will detoxify everything within. Weights and biking will "burn" your legs or arms, but doesn't really even reach within your body. If it matters that much, jogging or swimming will be more effective Even hopping and flailing around your backyard for 30 minutes like a madman would be better than biking
I'd have to question a school wanting to drug test the paying students...me, I'd find a different school.
Well, its a Nursing Program. As in, I'll eventually(starting in the Spring), have to deal with patients in actual hospitals and such, so I can see why they'd want a drug screen(now, it makes no sense, since I have only online courses for the next two or so months). Finding "a different school" makes no sense as all my credits are at this school. Besides, what Nursing/Medical Program wouldn't drug screen?
It stores in fatty cells... folks that tend to carry a lil extra weight it takes time. Your best bet is working out allot, drinking a shitton of water, eating fruits and veggies and overall eating healthy. 3 squares a day.. This will kick your metabolizm into overdrive and thats your best shot.. Hopefully you can g et it down enough to be considered clean..
i recently had a drug test, i just drank an absolute fuck load of cranberry juice and water.. when it came to the actual test my piss was clear as shit, it was just water. i said to the guy in there, wow my pee is clear. and he just said well that means you're healthy! and accepted it. i passed the test. so if you could dilute your urine to fuckery but somehow make it more yellow that would be my only suggestion based on experience. dont trust detox drinks, sounds like scams. i know what its like to be in your position though so i wish you the best of luck, and i know it will be hard- but try not to worry about it too much bro. everything happens for a reason. good luck, let us know how you get on.
it can take up to 3 months to clear in a heavy user, 30 days is incorrect. home tests can test up to 30 days. but if you are a heavy user it can be detected up to 3 months using gas chromatography.
