Would altering how heavily you smoke each day help with tolerance?

For example, I think staying very slightly high all day (by taking one or two hits every 2-3 hours) is overall about as good as vaping once at night and getting completely blitzed.

So, would I help keep my tolerance down if I alternated smoking light amounts all day and smoking a lot in one session once in a day (compared to smoking a lot in one daily session)?

The reason I think this would work is that tolerance, as we know, is due to stimulating our cannabinoid receptors too frequently, and it just seems plausible that you're only simulating some of your receptors when you smoke light amounts (which means you'd still be resting all the others when you only smoke light amounts).

Does this make sense and/or work?

  2. Who knows, try it out and tell us how it goes...No stoner in his/her right mind has ever thought of something like this, which is why we take weeks to months worth of a t-break.

Pretty sure it doesn't work, chief.

  3. No I think the other way is better. Not smoking at all then smoking like .6 at once will get you higher than smoking .6 throughout the day. And once you're high and kinda come down, it's harder to get back up. You'll have a buzz then you'll get a buzz that becomes normal to you, and instead of taking 2 hits to feel a buzz, you'll have to take at least 4+ to feel anything later in the day.

  4. that's not what I'm saying.

I'm asking whether alternating between those two methods would preserve your tolerance to get ripped (smoking a lot in one session).

  5. If I have things to do, I'll wake and bake, smoke half the bowl, and be stoned for a god 5-6 hours. After that, I'll finish that bowl and it will do me good til I go to bed, and then I smoke another bowl to put me right to sleep. I never have a problem with tolerance, maybe you should try smoking real kind bud?

  6. I'm smoking very good dank, and I don't have problems with tolerance (yet..?) either. I'm just trying to prevent it.

  7. No worries then man, just smoke a half a bowl/jay/blunt at a time, you'll be stoned for a good long while, and when that wears off, smoke the rest! End your day with a bowl, and drift off to sleep stoned off your ass

  8. Someone needs to do some research. I smoke all day in my car at work. Driver at a pizza place. Every drive I'll take a hit or two. Slightly high throughout the day. But when I'm home and just trying to get blazed I have to smoke shit tons to get above that 'mildly high' high.

  9. If it did, it would be such a minuscule difference.
I don't really keep regular smoking habits, except that i do it every day. I could never keep to any schedule other than that.

  10. im sure its all about how much is in your system and not how it got there. The best way ive found to keep tolerance low is to smoke little amounts in the week 0.2-0.4grams and at the weekend smoke more heavily, it still builds up though, just a bit more slowly.
