Would a normal lightbulb work for growing?

    Would a normal light work for growin? Like a desk light

    There are some people on YouTube that use a desk light but you are gonna need a lot of cfl lights not regular bulbs cause u will use a shit load of electricity

    Yea try to find 1 that is 6500k

    READ. You are hardly the first person to ask these kinds of uber-basic questions, and lucky for you they are already answered in the sticky threads and grow guides.

    Yea try to get a 6500k cfl and u may want to buy a timer thing for it for 18 hours on and 6 off or leave it on for 24hrs

    get like 3 to 4 6500ks cfls.... get higher wattage more watts it puts out better for your plant and look at the lumens - is the intensity of light you need a certain amount of lumens watts, and the right color range for good veg

    I know u can grow with one 6500k cfl bulb cause i did it and mine is pretty tall but when you go into flower you want to have more 2700k i think it is because im just using one right now and it's taking forever but im 2 weeks in flower and my plant is 5 weeks but for veg all ou really need is light and some type of fan so u can stiffen up the stem.
