  1. howdy brother! Heard Rush's Working Man on my way in yesterday, that base line thumped through my head all day as I drug a framing gun around. Made me think of you so I figured I'd pop in and congratulate ya in your season...looks like a good one. Have a great m & m (Maui and maxwell) weekend.

  6. Morning all,
Getting ready for the season! I'm going to run less plants this season, One patch is going to have some autos in it for sure.
Harvest is a Bitch with all these girls coming down within a few weeks, so I think it's time to start testing some Autos. Maybe I can make things easier with the right strains. The breeders have had some time to work some things out, so it's time...

    As far as photos,

    more Maui
    Acapulco Gold (Yea, I'm old...)
    Blue Dream

I need to dig into my own bucket O seeds and select some runners for summer.. I have such shitty luck time matching my 24-0 clones to outside I've all but given up and figured I'd start from seeds that have never been exposed to the 24-0 light..
I've got the whole back wall that's to shaded in all but summer I can run about 10 plants against..

Patio plants need about 2 more weeks..

This set will go in the ground for my spring run as soon as the current plants get finished and cleared out..

  12. Worked all day Saturday planting, 22 in the ground! Maui, C99, Cotton candy Cain, Cheese, Girl Scout, all in the ground and loving it.

I've got a blue cindy, some Tangelope, super lemon haze, and Pineapple Express #2 to go in yet, along with a test run of automatics.

So how are you all doing?

  13. Looking at more rain in the forcast, gardening is a slow go this year. I've got cheese, iced widow, blue dream, and northern lights outdoors right now. Hoping for a good year, but if it keeps raining, it could be rough.

  14. Rain cost me 4 nice plants last year, we got 4-6 weeks of it straight, it just drowned them.
My girls are getting in a bit late, but it was a cold spring here. I've got a few more to set this weekend, then it's time to feed.

    Good Luck and Take Care...

  19. Getting to be that time of year, spray.....

Sorry about the absence, life gets busy and the journal fell through the cracks.

To date this year I only lost a few autos. Something ate them, nothing but some of the autos. I won't bother with them again in the field. They are a garden plant that needs catered to, and IMO, aren't robust enough for the wild. Realistically the autos were a waste of holes, but I wanted to try. All of my other plants are happy. The C99's (G13) and the Tangelope are HUGE, and the rest of the field is right behind them.

    I'm feeding Jacks this season, along with potassium silicate. Once I saw booms starting, I switched from 20-20-20 to 10-30-20. Feeding/watering is a pain but I have a system that is working;
Start early, (flashlight early) get to bed early the night before, have everything prepared the night before, smoke Maui, and HUSTLE. I'm adding the potassium silicate to help avoid damage, but from the looks of things I better go buy out Home Depot's 6' bamboo stake inventory soon.

Spray.... I started spraying early this year. I hit the crop and all of the surrounding foliage with Orchard spray early on, just to keep things at bay. and I just started hitting things a bit harder. Everything has been treated once with Eight, the plants had a light dose, and the rest of the area got hit hard. Then I sprayed with copper sulfate. I'm done with the Eight (I hope) and intend to spray the copper sulfate every 10-14 days for awhile. Mold is an issue. Tent worm will be next, so I'll pick up the Thuricide today or tomorrow. Oh yea, DE, lots of DE. I have a large peanut butter jar with holes in the lid, I dust with it regularly. All around the base and sometimes the foliage is something is getting invasive.

Everyone's been trimmed twice now, Pinched and trimmed at 3' tall, then thinned again 3-4 weeks ago. They all need it again, and hopefully I'll get to it this weekend. Once the light started to change, they all threw heavy internal branching/budding. I need to get it all cut out soon, that stuff is just scrap.

Harvest is in the planning stage already, supplies and such are washed and ready, help is ready. I have a new/old helper too, an old friend has retired and has moved back to town. He's spent many years working in "odd" places, and has actually asked if he could sleep in the field once or twice a month. I let him, what the heck right? Well it seems he believes the field has something special to it and he likes the karama. (I think he likes to get away from the wife, but hey, whatever works) He has a sleeping bag, a foam pad, a bottle of water and his pipe,,, I like the mindset, and I trust him. We're all Happy. Weird, but Happy.

    Y'all take care,
And take a second to say Hello to someone today,
    You'll both smile from it.
