Working out and getting high?

  1. ok, so I was wondering, right now im a freshman in college, if I were to smoke a lot of pot, and possibly gain some weight. Well when I burn that fat off at the gym, would I feel a "high" at all. My friend swears this happens to him, and its not like the natural high just from using your muscles.
     
  2. As far as i know, when THC metabolites are stored in your fat cells they are released back into your bloodstream when you do physical activity. So yes you will feel the sort of burn out/stoney feeling after you workout sometimes. Obviously if u stop smoking completely this will only happen for a few weeks (it happened to me on my tbreak last week)
     
  3. here's what i do, i dont smoke before practicing, but right after i get out of gym i go to my favorite spot, and light one up. after 45 minutes I start EATING.
    watever u do just dont smoke before training. u can smoke 10 grams after u're done and u're cool :)

  5. i smoke and work out alot. my friend told me that if you smoke before working out that you wont build muscle. i thought he was completley wrong. thoughts? :confused:

  7. Lol, I recently started working out, I blaze all the time, right before, right after, whenever im down to burn. Lol, I dont find it effects me working out at all really :\
     
  8. building muscle has NOTHING to do with bud. to build muscle, your body needs protein, amino acids, and natural testosterone that your body naturally releases during lifting. weed doesnt affect any of this, just make sure you down a protein shake after and eat ALOT, youll gain muscle

  10. If your looking to working out seriously I've always found creatine to give me the best results. I've never experienced any sort of "high" while lifting and I lift almost every day.
     
  11. take it from me, you can smoke all you want when weightlifting

    i do it all the time right after my workout, and ive been gaining muscle. Bud doesnt do anything to the muscle-building process, just helps you to relax to recover that torn muscle tissue =D
     
  12. Yeah I'd do what the poster above said and smoke after, you don't wanna be blitzed and drop the barbell on yourself because you randomly remebered something hilarious that happened to you 6 months ago lolol. (personal experience)

    EDIT: I think I'm going crazy. That guys typing was just white so I couldn't see it...now its normal. Wtf?
     

  14. ah, cool. i just started doing basic stuff at home. just to get in better shape, and maybe put on a little muscle. but it's really nice to do high--I almost feel like I can push myself a bit more (not to the point of hurting myself, but when I'm sober I can't always push myself to do two more, or whatever).

    it's kinda a bitch to first start, but once I get some blood moving, it's smooth sailing. :)
