Working for Lyft part time

Discussion in 'Real Life Stories' started by Kushifornia, Mar 5, 2016.

  1. I keep getting text and emails about working for the driving company lyft has anybody ever worked for lyft and actually made good money on a part time basis?

  2. I always ask my lyft/uber drivers if they like working for 'em, and if it's decent money.

They always say it's a decent way to make money if you're committed to working.

  3. Woah, I didn't even know what Lyft was. I would think that you have to be committed to the job to make any real money.

  5. Most of the money will go towards a new car.

    it's just dro bro

  6. The only way to make it worthwile part time is driving bar hours... I drove for a bit over a month while between jobs last year... 30-40 hours a week non bar hours. I barely scraped by. You would have to do at least 60 hours a week to make an ok living.

I avoided bar hours because I hate drunk stupid people... but that's when you have the possibility of making the most money. Around holidays will you can make ok money though.

  7. Are bar hours the best because drunk people tip more? Or because there are more people looking for rides?

  8. In a way the job and the people you encounter working is what makes the job....its what you make of it

  9. D all of the above! There were times I would wait 15-45 minutes between rides with both Lyft AND Uber apps on at the same time middle of the day.
