Working for ChaCha?

  1. Well so I quit my job about two weeks ago. It was not a smart move but it was seriously the worst job I have ever had. I was a telemarketer and I sat for 8 hours a day in the same desk while I continually scammed grampas into getting pointless accidental death insurance. The only good thing was that I could smoke during any break and not have to worry about getting caught or drug tested. :smoking:

So about a week ago I went to ChaCha.com and applied for a position. Yesterday I finished the final test they give you before you can get paid for answering questions. Im fairly confident that I passed, just have to wait for ChaCha to look at it and grade it.

So my question is, has anyone on here done this? and about how much money can you make?

Its pretty cool, you can :smoking::smoking::smoking::smoking::smoking::smoking: and work! hell I could be completely fucked up and still work!

There is very little jobs where i live so I thought i could do this until i can search down a decent job.

  2. I did the whole training thing and then decided to quit once I decided that a real job would be much better pay. I've talked to many people about it, and the best employees get about $5.00 an hour. For entry level or normal employees, you'll make about $2.50 an hour. It's pretty much impossible to make anything better than minimum wage there. If you work and toke at the same time, then you'll probably be able to pay for the cost of the weed that you smoked and that's it. But, I would try it out first to see if you like it and can make some money.

  3. looks interesting, giving it a try.

  4. Ohhhhh well if that is your situation then I would go to work for ChaCha. ;)

  5. I did it for a while back when it first started.

Back then though, it wasn't as convoluted and you made like 20 cents per question answered. I think last I checked it was like .02 cents or some shit? I don't remember. It was definitely much lower than before. :p

  6. I think they are using a sneaky point system now but im not totally sure. The points will translate into money.

  7. Do you have to call/talk to people or is it all computer-based?

  8. Computer based through a web browser. Questions pop up, you find the answer and send it through. pretty easy.

Although there are different jobs and one is answering the questions that come in through phone calls.

  9. I did it a while back when they gave you a decent amount of money. It's alright honestly not much money. Good luck though!

  10. Do you have to work X amount of hours week/month? How often is the pay?

  11. You work as much as you want, when you want. You get paid when you say so also.

  12. Haha I'm signing up now. Did you apply for generalist or specialist?

  13. I did it back when it started. It was pretty good, got 20 cents per question and could just BS it. Now it sucks ass, don't do it.

  14. I thought I passed too. I didn't and said "Fk chacha" haha. Now I'm an audio engineer trying to find more work lol.

  15. That is the same job.

  16. Dude! One time chacha tried to tell me weed was harmful and dangerous, so I replied to them and told them they were full of shit, they said, "no, i'm full of organs and such." It totally freaked me out, I thought they only replied to questions haha :]
