    So yesterday I went to work and threw up, a guy told me to just go home and get some rest so I did, today I go back and feel like shit the entire morning I got dizzy every time I stood up and had a big headache and stomachache, a couple ladies(the HR and another lady I dont know what she does but they said I had to go home for the day. I'm on 90 day probation and I already called in one day but came in 3 hours later and worked 5 hours of my 8 hour shift with a doctors note, will they fire me? I'm 19 and just sketching right now because I need this job and it pays pretty well from what I've had in the past. The lady wanted to fire me when I called in but the guy that hired me said not to.. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Honestly you don't want to miss another day. Most places I've worked at have taken the 90 day probation period pretty seriously. They understand shit happens, but how you handle the shit that happens is what they're looking at.

    If it's possible, try and get diagnosed by the doctor. If you'd rather not, then if you want yoir job, keep going in. But BE sensible and don't work yourself to death or close to it!

    I went in yesterday and since i yacked on the floor they sent me home like today.

    What?! People get sick for extended periods of time all the time!! Just go to the doc to figure out what may be wrong. If the doc finds something and tells you to take a few days off (likely), contact your work and tell them per your doctor, you need to take off a few days. Make sure you can have your doc verify or theyll think youre lying and fire you.

    Your employer can do very little about this because its doctor approved. If they fired you, Im fairly certain youd have grounds to sue.... IF YOU GOT YOUR DOC TO APPROVE.

    The first time I got sick was 3 weeks ago I missed 3 hours and in that 3 hours I went to the doc and got an excuse, I showed it to my HR and she said " i dont need it" so she said I could throw it out, I did and then yesterday I got sick and went home, same with today. I dont know whether to go to the doctor again or what?

    Do you work at walmart? If so, as a manager there for over a year - don't miss another day.

    if they have to tell you to go home because your sick then they should understand you calling in the next day.
