Wooden Bong?

I've made a steamroller before out of bamboo, the taste wasn't really affected but I was using a glass bowl. I know they sell bamboo bongs too so I'd go with that but that's my opinion and I'm no wood expert haha

 

Cherry ,hard maple or plum is good.
 
I would do a laminated then turned construction.
 
Iv turned wood parts in a lathe that were huge and worth over $3,000 . 4 feet around.
 
I would shoot for something like these as an example.

Id be down for an Ebony bong.


But Im pretty sure ebony is about as expensive as wood comes.

Far left as first part of tube

One to the upper right of that one as second part of the tube

And the left middle one as the final part of the tube and the mouthpiece.

 

The way I would seal the inside and this may be wrong but molten bees wax. water proof the shit out of it.
