I am in need of a little advice in terms of what vaporizer to get for my girlfriend and I. The vape will only be used by the two of us 90% of the time, and efficiency is very important. She does not like to smoke things, so a vape is the logical choice. After researching for a while I figured I wanted a Purple Days, but we cant wait the 2-3 months that it would take to get it. My first question, and main one, is what are the differences between the Woodeez and the Myrtlezap? I know the MZ uses brass, and I think the Woodeez does not? I know the MZ states to only have a 90 day warranty, but over on the FC forums, Rick has stated that he will help anyone that needs work done "well after 90 days". I also realize that the Woodeez is a relatively new product, and as such there are a few reviews other then ones posted in the product thread on FC. Is there any reason to get one over the other? Thanks!
I would bet that 99.9% of the people here don't know what a Woodeez or a MyrtleZap is unless they came here from the FC site. Better off just asking this question there.
The problem is that I am not great at that kinda stuff, and nor do I enjoy it. If I could, I would buy a PD in a heart beat. I just cant find one/wait 3 months to get one.
get a myrtlezap, im toking from mine right now. rick will get you extactly what you want if you ask if it... he's been making them for a long time and has it perfected. brass isnt a issue.
Toking off of mine right now through my bong. You can check it out on this thread. Haha, I was too stoned and posted it on the Apprentice forums. Never got any replies OP, I already gave my opinion to you on FC but I'll say it again: Go for the MZ!!!
Yeah, between these two, I'd get the Zap also. But, if I could possibly wait, I'd go for the Purple Days.
I used to have a MZ myself... I found it worked great for the first 2 hits after it warms up but the heating element quickly cooled to where it would produce no vapor. I'm not too sure if mine was just a lemon or if this is how most are. I ended up taking a few hits and then putting it upside down on the table so it would build heat faster again.
Yeah, I've heard a few reports of this happening, but not many. But this is one of the reasons that Tom, the maker of the Purple Days, redesigned his heating element so that it would retain heat better between hits. But to anyone considering getting either the PD, the MZ or the Woodeez, these are not designed to be party vapes. They are primarily designed as very efficient personal vapes to be used between one or two people. Too many hits back to back will cool them down. To GreenWare, Rick at MZ is offereing a 13.5v power adapter that will cause the MZ to run hotter. This should help your situation. Another solution would be to use a koozie with your MZ. That will also warm things up.
Yeah, it definitely helps it run hotter. I can't hold my fingers on the very top of the wood since it is so hot!
Do you also have the problem of only being able to take 2 hits before you have to let it warm up again?
