Well, I am building my own little hydroponic system. Well, this is the basic structure of my system. Bottom layer consists of Soil ( Rich in nutrients ). This layer is used to release nutrients from the soil into the water. Then, on top of that layer, consists of Water pebbles. This layer is what I am going to be using for plant stability support(Holding the plant in place). Also, this layer is pretty thick, so, the root will be contained in completely water. I then plant the root into the water pebbles, leaving it submerged in water mixed with Plant food and other necessary nutrients. You guys think this will work? Thanks in advance. PS: I would have just tried this, but, I don't want to kill off any of my crop.
