Wondering; would this work?

  1. Well, I am building my own little hydroponic system.

Well, this is the basic structure of my system.

Bottom layer consists of Soil ( Rich in nutrients ). This layer is used to release
nutrients from the soil into the water.
Then, on top of that layer, consists of Water pebbles.
This layer is what I am going to be using for plant stability support(Holding the plant in place). Also, this layer is pretty thick, so, the root will be contained in completely water.

I then plant the root into the water pebbles, leaving it submerged in water mixed with
Plant food and other necessary nutrients.

You guys think this will work?

    Thanks in advance.

PS: I would have just tried this, but, I don't want to kill off any of my crop.

  2. doesn't sound like any hydroponic system I've ever heard of. You're going to make mud in your reservoir?

  3. It isn't a hydroponic system persay, but rather a way of growing marijuana in water.

No, the mixture won't be muddy, the water pebbles separate the water from the dirt somewhat. The pebbles will keep it from becoming a muddy mixture.

  4. lol, no oxygen could get to your little roots mate

  5. Even if I were to use oxygen crystals?
