I came up a little on some cash on the black jack tables last night...I never win anything at casinos but I was drunk off my ass and ended up walking away with a little (I guess that must be the key ot me winning!) Anyhow, before I waste the money on BS and gas...I was thinking of spending it on a light kit. My space is only 2x2x3ft tall. I already have temps that linger in the low to mid 80s with my CFLs...how much more will see in temp increase with HID lights and how much light do you all reommend?
you dont have enough room. you need at least 5 ft for hid lights. i prefer the lights be at 6 ft from the floor
you will definitely have heat issues even with a 150watt hps. i keep mine about 10" from the canopy and thats about as close as it can get b4 getting too hot. my box is 2.5' x 4' x 5.5' and i saw about 5-10F increase in temps. anything over 85 and you will start having promlems

WRONG, i have 600w in a 3.4 square feet of grow room, height is abt 7.5ft i keep my light at 8 inch away from tops, temps are abt 98*F, high airflow on tops, 3x 2gal (water+sugar+yeast) for co2. There are 8 plants, 1x vetigo abt 15in tall, 2x autoak 35in tall, 2x autoak 27in tall, 2x pineapple express 25in tall, 1x autoak 20 in tall.
