WNRQ 105.9 420 smoke break

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by Bud Head, Aug 4, 2004.

  1. Does any one listen to this station??

Every day at 420 they have a 420 smoke break..

Usually it's Joe Elvis that is on at the time... I also love proud Mary. She is a blast..

  2. wat area is that

  3. Lol that is funny, 105.9 is the rap station here =\

  4. It's the rock station here...

    Nashville TN area

  5. Some stations do things for 420. When I lived in south Florida we had 103.1 the buzz(used to be a good rock station, but they turned into that rock/pop garbage). Anyway, they had something they called the 420 pause for the cause. They'd play a sound clip of someone hitting a bong then play a song you wouldn't normally hear, usually dealing with weed. I'd hear songs like Black Sabbath's Sweat Leaf or sometimes they'd play Jimmi Hendrix or Bob Marley. The station sucks now but it's still worth listening to at 4:20.

  6. i listen to a rock staion out of erie 100.9 rocket 101 and at 420 they blow a whistle and announce a 420 rock block!! they play classic and new rock and i mean rock not like add in a richard marx tune outta the blue.it rocks :Dits cool as hell the only cool rock station around me in ohio i have to drive west 40 mins before it starts to come in :smoking: but i get Pa stations w/o problem....go figure
    toke on :smoke:

  7. 96 rock in atlanta has 420 brain resin section where they play usually a pink floyd song and have bong bubbling noises while everyone at the station coughs and laughs, lol...

  8. hey nashville here too. nuthin really that good here.

*Nothing even close to a hook-up is allowed here at the City. It's a serious matter that isn't tolerated. Please read the rules that are posted in every forum. Thanks, *RMJL

  9. Around here on 104.1 they play a bong rip clip and all cheer and whatnot, and then they play either The Bong Song or Burn One Down or some pot song by some crappy punk band, I think its called "lets go smoke some pot"... It's cool, the radio station I'm usually listening to at work, so I catch it almost every day, a lot of times stoners will be in the store, and it will give us something to talk about

  10. On 94.3 here, there's the 420 club and you call @ 4:20 to check in. Plus, they'll play stoner music. They talk about getting high all the time though.

  11. here 105.9 is power 106 and at 4 is titos top 4 at 4 dun dun dun dun dun tito tito

  12. 105.9 is the X in pittsburgh its a alt rock station. they too have the '4:20 pause for the cause' usually at this time they play sublime n shit im pretty sure

  13. damnit, it's 4:28 and i just missed it.

  14. okay this is great.. today around 4:20 they had a new ad on our radio station that plays the pot songs... it was something like this "just because were a classic rock station, everyone assumes were high, but their wrong.... were usually drunk" it was pretty damn funny, i was busting out driving and almost hit the crub :smoking:

  15. where i live theres 101.5 and they play classic rock. at 420 they have "420 Floyd" not everyday but the cool dj's play it. they have a really funny intro that has a lot of soundbites about bud and then they play a floyd song wich is followed by 20 songs in a row. usually they are trippy songs. but overall just good songs to listen to when high.

  16. I listen to 104.7 out of Dayton. Classic rock baby! They do a 420 segment there as well, similar to the others mentioned. They also have a commerical they play all the time that says "by the station that put the high in high fidelity"

And every April 20th they have a contest to win a new bong. Last year they gave away a sweet 5 foot glass bong.

  17. This is all really cool! I never even knew ANY radio station did that. Again, awesome! I bet none of the nyc stations do it though, and those are the ones I used to get when there was a slight chance in hell that I would be listening to the radio. Support the cause!
