  2. I dunno why you got no comments bruh, this is dope! keep up the vids real dope beat here

  3. I'm not sure. Oh well I'm not sweating over it ahaha. Thanks bro appreciate it.

  4. Nice beat definitely but something was off with the snare and clap also I didn't hear any bass..maybe cause im on my phone. Good shit tho stay up

  5. I think that's on your end because they sound fine for me

  6. Shits fire homie! High a'f rapping to this, cool if I record??

  7. Ahh damn alright then man, let me know if you change your mind tho! I'm new to rapping but I swear I had some ill shit written to that!, so if anything it'd be just for fun, not professional trynna use exclusively or to make money off it, just trynna progress an make some dope music!

  8. It's not on our end, because the bass should translate more.

I'm listening on my yamaha's and barely hearing it. Try adding a little distortion and turning up the level a tiny bit.

  9. That was dope man. I hear the sub bass. there's just not much of it.

    Still a good instrumental tho

  10. I listen to it in my car which has the Logic 7 sound system in it with 2 subs and they sound pretty loud. The majority of the bass notes are very short tho.

  11. Referencing in your car is fine.

Your subs are going to be loud regardless, but have you referenced this track against any others to see how the bass compares?

I've listened to this track on my Yamaha HS80m's and the bass was barely audible (however these speakers are bass-light). I then listened on my Beyerdynamic DT770's and the bass was still pretty weak (these headphones are very bass-heavy). So it's definitely not on my end, I know what these cans and speakers sound like.

Are you mixing on monitors or using 2.1 speakers? That is probably where the problem lies.

When you mix, are you using a sub? It could be tricking you into thinking there is more bass in the mix than there actually is.

BTW: not trying to knock the beat in anyway, the beat is fine, just trying to help with the mix.

  12. yeah I hear you I'm just confused because I can hear the bass pretty loud on my headphones (Sony MDR-ZX600).

  13. Then I'm not sure what to say.

My only advice would be to add some distortion so systems that don't extend below 50/40HZ can still playback some of the bass.

Check it back and forth between systems. Then go into your master eq and apply a sharp cut at 40HZ and see how the bass still sounds.

It's a pain in the ass, but pretty necessary.

What kind of plug-ins are you using on your bass channel?

To the OP! you want to mix on the shittiest speakers you can find, make that shit sound good on there and it will sound good on everything. Of course its gona sound good on youre shit, because thats what you made it on.

and colt said he listened to it on his yamahas, and those monitors come bass heavy, so thats saying somthing, if he had tannoy's then I would understand.

Do you have any beats that are your original style or any other styles? just wondering

  17. ^ So true.

This is why referencing is so important. Try to make it sound good on multiple systems in your room and then take it to your car. It will never sound perfect between all sources, but if you know each source's weakness then you can make a good assessment on what needs to be changed

Actually HS80M's are really bass light and my room isn't treated (and they only go down to 40Hz). But I also listened on my DT770's which are on the bassy side and it sounded marginally better.

  18. Thanks man, I was on soundcloud but was getting my beats stolen so I deleted it. You can follow me on twitter just search for HDUB808.

  19. Well I suppose it doesn't matter much but it's not like people can't 'steal' or d/l your beats off of YTube as well. If you're that concerned why not throw a dj drop in or create some signature synths and use snippets of them in each track someplace? You're pretty skilled so you'll be fine and I can see why people would wanna rip your beats. Real trill shit tho my man feeling it; what DAW do you and your collabs use? FL studio? I use cubase myself at the moment...
