  1. So I've started smoking 5 years ago. Within those years, my tolerance went up, and so with my cravings. I ended up smoking at least three bowls or a blunt everyday. (usually before dinner or sleep ). However, I've noticed within the past 5-10 months or so, when I socialize in a sober state, my responses and way of thinking are a lot more slower. I feel like im developing a stutter occasionally here and there.

My first assumption is its my daily intake of weed. So I've started to do a 2 week t-break. (currently on day 6). Some of the things i'm currently feeling within this t-break is:
    - loss of appetite. [ 1 1/2 meals a day now instead of average 3 ]
    - lost of interest [ music feels alot more like just 'noise' , never really in the mood to socialize with friends, playing games feels like a grind. Just got warfighter and resident evil 6 but when I play, I lose interest quickly ]
    - I'm starting to plan activities much ahead, probably a week or even a month ahead and I have this worryness or paranoia that it might not go as planned.
    - my concentration in studies feels more strict, like Im worried I might fail the class if I dont get this one piece of work done, but at the same time, I'm kind of frustrated to start it.
    - Starting to notice my attitude is more "bitchy". My way of thinking is a lot more clear, but its annoying. ( I begin to point out little things and tell my friends/peers what I feel is wrong with it. I notice this so I get irritated at myself if that makes any sense. I guess im more critical about myself )
    - lastly, I think im beginning to feel like if I could just smoke one bowl, that it'll feel like a comforting hug from a loving mother which for some reason I am yearning for. (I am farr away to ask my mom for a hug anyways )

Can these be actual symptoms of withdrawal? If so, if you were in my position, would you smoke a bowl just to ease these symptoms? Or would you deal with it and just finish the 2 weeks of tbreak?

I'm in your boat my friend. (just hiding on your life-raft at the back ;))
I've noticed every "side affect" you listed there at one point or another in the past 3 years I've been toking.. 2 years daily almost.
Lately, day's I go on a t-break and come back to toke I'm not getting that same comforting feeling I used to get. But if I'm constantly toking up I feel fine.

It' hard to explain exactly how I'm feeling but something feels off...not right.... missing. (I'm not sure this is 100% toking related).. I'm considering to just stop until I can clean my mind?

When I toke up constantly for too long... like a month straight hitting a bowl every few hours I start to feel like im in a haze and question why I am toking.(Even though it's to eaze the pain im in all the time) Then I stop, then I start questioning why I stopped. THERE'S NO WINNING!

To add to this, a lot of my friends toke up- toker friends and regular friends... so it's weird/hard for me to hang out if everyone is smoking and drinking and I am not :(.

  3. The games you got suck ass thats why dude. I loved RE5 and I'm just gonna say RE6 is shitty and so warfighter.

And you're experiencing some mild side effects that will go away after a while. When you're done with your T-Break try smoking less and less often.

@ Scooby Doo : Yeah its just the feeling of unsatisfaction. As far as your friends smoking and drinking in front of you, I would've already gave in. Peer pressures a bitch these days. +1 for you along with your reply giving me a little bit motivation

@ Jevon : Warfighter story mode was epic. Multiplayer was the disappointment. I agree though that RE5 remains superior. But enough of game talk, for there is a section in the forum for that. As far as my smoking habits goes, oh I have no intentions in dumbing it down. Once I finish this tbreak [all day everyday~] was mainly just curious if what I'm feeling are actual symptoms of actual withdrawal and/or long term effects. Somewhat good to know that it may be just some temporary mild side effects.

  5. I know I'll probably get hate for this but YES THEY ARE WITHDRAWAL SIDE EFFECTS. I don't care who you are but you just have to admit to the fact that this is not a 100% safe "Drug" and it will affect individuals differently. I know it's not as bad as crack withdrawals but there are withdrawals with cannabis. plain and simple.

OP, what you're feeling you will most likely overcome soon, it is nothing "long-term". :smoking:

  6. Roll that shit, light it, smoke

  7. I've noticed that I get those symptoms when I don't smoke as well. Yesterday you were on day 6, so now I assume you're on day 7 of your t-break, surely most of the affects like loss of appetite and irritability have surpassed by now? If not, they should only take another couple of days :)

Try exercising a lot more than you would usually, if you have time, because it should start to build your appetite back up :)

    Good luck

  8. Erm yeeeah...

Finish the two week no smoking period without thinking about smoking marijuana even once. Otherwise there's no point...

Master that which is within yourself!

  9. This is all very good imo...fuck hanging out and plating video games. Study more. Also, planning much ahead means a week? Then what do tou call it when you plan years ahead (like you should also do, in addition to the weekly, monthly planning). However, don't point things out to people...point them to yourself, make yourself conscious about em and fix em.

  10. Best way to fight withdrawal is to exercise and maintain a healthy diet. 2 weeks is usually how long it takes to get over it

  11. @ Scooby : thank god for no long term effects. ( at least not that we know yet ) That would suck if you developed a twitch or being stuck for long periods of time even without smoking.

@ Titch: took your advice. jogged around the block last night and worked out like I'd get a six-pack by the end of the night. Took a shower and was going to reply back but ended up knocking out. Woke up refreshed and in a better mood, but sore as fuck. Kudos.

@Wax: I probably 'study' this forum recently for advice and stories than my textbooks. I find it funny that i'm trying to stay away from the idea of weed, yet the grasscity community is all about it as im reading these stories of people smoking and stuff. For some reason though, I think its in a way helping by distracting myself to actually smoke.

@keepthecycle: haha. its a damn shame that after that 2 weeks once I get over it, my intentions is to smoke. Its really just a test if im actually addicted/depend on it. So far so good though. yes.. excercise = good way for a natural high. I was actually surprised that I knocked out last night that easily without smoking a bowl.

    Anyways thanks for the advice/replies.

    -DAY 7-

  12. Yes, those are withdrawal symptoms. Thankfully, 3 to 7 days of being a little grouchy and unmotivated is small potatoes to harder drugs.

Relax, after a while you won't even be thinking about it.

  13. Yeah those sound pretty minor though the same thing happens to me if I smoke multiple times a day for a couple months (which I don't anymore) you should be getting over the hump after a week but ya never know. Compare that to caffeine withdrawals and it's probably easier and compared to unmentionables it's a breeze.

I'm guessing your in high school Bro? If not college? Your growing up, your tierd of lame video games, tired of dumb-asses, and deff tired of school. Shit happens, the bitchyness goes away though. Smoke weed and hang out with new people listen to new music.

  15. I have withdrawal symptoms when i stop burning. My only real problem is sleeping, sometimes appetite is affected. It will take me two hours to fall asleep when im not blazed, then i wake up every hour. It sucks

  16. i go through the same shit kancastank, it sucks. I need it to sleep at night, otherwise I will only get one hour of sleep. People tell me to work out but that doesnt make me more tired at night, might just be a personal thing for me. Just makes me feel better knowing I am not the only one with the sleeping thing.

Lol the reason we have the sleeping thing is because we smoke so much weed. Or at least for me. Ive never had problems sleeping until i started smoking really heavy everyday. So basically us smoking weed fixes the problem that smoking weed caused in the first place lol

  18. Wow, didn't know you could get withdrawals. I better take it easy for now on.
