Wisdom Teeth

Discussion in 'Medical Cannabis: Treatments & Patient Experiences' started by Alphå, Feb 3, 2007.

  1. For those of you who get your wisdom teeth out, your doctor will tell you no smoking for up to 7 days.

However, unless you have Marinol, Ganja is the healing of the nation. ITs easy to toke.

Get a decent sized glass ipe and put it to your nose. Toke up very lightly.... You're not blowing rails here. I was kinda scared to even blow the smoke out of my mouth, so I just blew it right back out my nose.

That in combination with some Hydrocodienes and you'll be all set.

The big thing about why you can't smoke is that you'll create a pressure vacuum that pops out the blood clot... This is no good since the bleeding can continue for a long while and get infected

If you can, kief your weed. It will be much easier in the long run.

  2. lmao, man that's why I distill liquid THC.

  3. Or instead of that, why just not eat it....I have got to get mine out in about 2 months, im going to tell the oral surgeon or who ever writes the Rx that i have a LOW tolerance for pain so I can get somethin a little stronger.....So strong pain killers + eating of masses amounts of ganja + a litre of jim beam= No wsidom pain

  4. Eating food is extremely difficult for the first 6 hours (or it was for me). My tongue was numb and swollend and seemed to take up my whole mouth.

Make some tea or ganja milk

I dont know, I have a big nose so its almost like smoking through my nose is what I was meant for. I even have a built in carb (just open my mouth)

  5. IDK its like im imagining inhaling through the nose and it stings my brain just thinking about it.

  6. It does sting... But I think theres more blood vessels up there then in your throat so you get higher... Like it goes straight to your brain through your tissues or something.

  7. dude buy yourself a vapo whip for like 15 bucks at your local headshop

drop the fucker in a 2-3+ liter bottle top gbong style then light it up for a second or so on the pull so you vap the bud (or get a solder iron/cigarette to burn it without butane)

you can get a milky tube of smoke going easy to inhale via the nose or inhale quick past the open wound

  8. Sobe waterfall bong + ice + tubing = comfortably numb

  9. I think im going to have to get mine out soon its going to suck.

  10. I used edibles when i had my wisdom teeth pulled. I actually still did smoke a little again starting on day 2 or 3 but i just made sure not to suck hard because you can fuck up the blood cot and really mess your stuff up if you suck on anything too hard.

  11. Hydrocodeines after wisdom teeth???

Yer big wimp! I was back eatin' glass two hours after mine:D

Seriously, though, bit overkill, ain't it? It really isn't that painful.... I had to have mine cut and dug out, too...stitches, the works.

  12. everyone reacts differently... my brother was out partying that night and mine got infected and i was down for a couple of days... good luck

  13. Complication from pulling wisdom teeth depends alot on age.
If you're 20 or younger it's no problem.
If you're 30 or so you might just get unlucky.
If you're over 60, gloom&doom! Those old cells regenerate way too slow!

I'm kind of an expert on the smoking with bleeding gums from dental surgery thing.
    First hand experience here.
My wisdom teeth couldn't be pulled normally.
They were @ a 90 degree angle of the rest of the teeth, jammed between the jawbone and the next tooth.
Abcess underneath, infected to the bone.
My o my, they had to use a saw to make slits in the wisdom teeth to get space to be able to break them.
That's right, BREAK your wisdom teeth while still inside your mouth.

That's one sensation I'll never forget.

As was the next : using powertools on the infected jawbone, abrasing it from the rest.

Imagine sitting back on a chair, seeing smoke rise from your mouth, smelling burning flesh and thinking to yourself : 'O shit dude, I'm on fire!'

Let me tell you one thing : when you start smoking pot with a big gaping hole in your gums/jawbone smoking hurts the wound. Like soap in your eyes, no good.
The increase in heart rate and blood pressure you get from the smoke is very noticeable. The blood pounding around the infection get worse and quicker.
To top it off, I get more sensitive to touch (and others) while stoned/high.
Great for sex, crap when wounded.

I was stupid enough to continue smoking like a chimnee in this condition.
What I got for it was more pain, for a longer period.

    I'd do it again!;)

  14. better be carefull in the first week or so. the doc dont want you smoking cause of the pressure it puts on the suchor in your mouth. if your teeth were impacted then you definately wanna be very careful. if you get a dry socket you are going to be in a lot of pain. i bet he told you not to use straws also. i had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted.... fun at least i was put under. the last thing i remeber after getting the iv, was the nurse practically carrying me to the wating room with all kind of bloody gause sticking out my mouth lol

  15. One thing I will add, even if it isn't terribly uncomfortable, take care not to suck in bits of tobacco or weed if you smoke joints with open wounds in the mouth. They could settle in or near the wounds, causing a greater infection risk.

I remember, when I had mine done I was given a big plastic syringe type instrument with a curved needle, so I could squirt water or mild mouthwash right in and near the gaps; it was a Godsend in the days before I could brush again.

  16. Back when I got my wisdom teeth out I was smoking a lot of weed and I kept smoking after the surgery because of the pain as well as taking a lot of vicodin. It ended up being a really bad idea because I got dry sockets and this caused all sorts of problems, definitely either find a way to eat the weed or do the nose thing cus you really don't want to get dry sockets.

  17. oh god no, not the hydrocodeines!?!

more like hydrocodone, unless of course you guys are talking about dihydrocodeine. overkill? no. hydrocodone is a weak analgesic and the same applies to dihydrocodeine. i've always heard of percocet, which is oxycodone. hydrocodone < oxycodone. anyway, you fuckers are lucky to be gettin pk's. don't complain about the pk's just because they aren't "all natural herbs". have fun with em or give em to somebody who will.

    g'na wut im sayin?????????? lozl.

  18. I'm getting mine pulled soon too. I'm going to find a way to use the ganja and to stay away from the vico, so I can save it for later and have a little fun with it. Also when I'm smoking a blunt with some friends, we usually give eachother shotties thru the nose. IMO it doesnt sting at all, if you haven't noticed, dank marijuana smoke is far less irratent and harsh then any other form of smoke.
